I thought I’d give you a quick heads up about some of the Today’s Special Values and other great deals we have coming up over the next few days…
I won’t be with you on Wednesday morning, as I’ve swapped shifts with Claire so that she could take advantage of the children having an inset day at school and enjoy a family weekend away. I’m sure she’ll tell you more on her blog page soon. But I’d still like to let you know about our deal of the day, as you might look at the price and dismiss it as not for you.
But, although it is an investment, the price is virtually half what you would pay if you bought it directly from the manufacturers at £399.99, and is also available in Easy Pay instalments. So what is it?
From Sensica, it is called the Sensilight Pro hair remover, and it is a way to permanently reduce the growth of unwanted hair on your body or face. It works in much the same way as expensive salon equipment but is designed for use in the home and is simple enough that you don’t need to be a trained expert to use it.
You might think that it’s intended for use just by women but, in fact, many men use it successfully on their hairy backs or other areas. And it’s okay to share it with others, as the system is completely enclosed and hygienic.
I’m really impressed with a couple of features – firstly, it’s much easier to treat larger areas of the body as it has two sizes of light window for precise or general use. You can glide the device across the skin and it will pulse the treatment light automatically. Also, it has intuitive sensors detect the optimal energy level to use for your individual skin tone.
It has clear and easy to follow instructions, and lots of advice on how to get the best results. But if you can catch a presentation on Wednesday you’ll see it in action and have the opportunity to decide whether you’d like to be smoothly hair free for your holidays this summer. It may take up to three or four treatments before results are obvious, but with our extended money back guarantee you have complete peace of mind. One thing to bear in mind is that you mustn’t wax, pluck or epilate the hair between treatments, so starting now with the ‘covered up season’ ahead of us would be good timing.
Thursday’s TSV, which is available now online, is also from our beauty department. Nails Inc’s Dreaming of the Disco collection of varnishes comes in a gorgeous silver glitter pouch and is perfect for the party season. Nail polish shades include a creamy nude shade, violet-cream, midnight blue with a shimmer shine, rose-pink metallic foil and a glitter with electric silver sparkles. Added to these will be a Kensington Caviar Topcoat, which dries in 45 seconds so is perfect if you’re always painting your nails in a rush. Five polishes and a top coat would cost £90 if bought individually from Nails Inc, so our price of £26.98 is pretty amazing, especially as you get the glitter pouch as well.
The perfect jewellery to complement beautiful nails will be our TSV on Monday. You guessed it – Diamonique!
The watch and tennis bracelet set is sparkly in an elegant, understated way. I absolutely love the luxe leather strap and slim design of the watch, with simulated diamonds representing the numbers on the face. Colour options are the Grey/Rose Gold tone that I’ve photographed for you to see, also Navy/Gold tone, Aubergine/Silver and Blush/Rose Gold tone.
Each watch comes in a beautiful blush pink box with a matching silver tennis bracket encrusted with Diamonique stones, and available in 17cm and 19cm lengths. Stunning!
I hope I’ve whetted your appetite for what’s in store in the coming week at QVC. I’m really looking forward to it, and also to the weekend when Olley and I are heading to Bath to have lunch with some special friends and to visit the Christmas Market. I’ll share some photos of it with you next week.
Until then, take care
