Pixie, Poppies, Peony… and Elemis!

3

Firstly, I’d like to thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for your wonderful generosity in support of this season’s Poppy Collection.

You are utterly amazing and you are making such a huge difference to people’s lives simply by purchasing from the range. There’s still time to buy and still time to put your pounds into the poppy sellers tins, too. Obviously, it’s a personal choice whether or not to wear a poppy, but I choose to wear mine with enormous pride.

My partner, Jamie, is a Royal Air Force veteran. Many members of each of our families have also served in the RAF. My father and Jamie’s are no longer with us but they both served, as did my mum, and we remember them and all who have served by proudly sporting our poppies.

Of course, remembrance is a huge part of the poppy story, but what many don’t realise is that our armed service personnel and veterans (plus their families) are the beneficiaries of the funds raised.

This includes providing psychological help, financial assistance, getting back to civilian life, physical rehabilitation, dementia nurses and so much more besides. I’m a member of The Royal British Legion and would encourage people to learn more about what they do and what they, and Poppy Scotland, stand for in today’s world.

Once again, thank you for all your support. It was an honour to design two collectors pieces for this year’s collection. It’s also always a privilege and a pleasure to work with Kate Green, our on-air guest and now dear personal friend. It’s been a wonderful season thanks to all of you.

Kate is, like me, an animal lover, and will appreciate these Pixie pics with our forthcoming Peony TSV!

When this had been left in my dressing room for me it fooled me! I wasn’t aware I was going to receive a sample to photograph and trial. I had been on air and when I returned to my room this glorious display was sitting on my chair, and I honestly thought for a minute that I had received fresh flowers!

It was only when I got closer and saw the Peony name on the bag that I realised it wasn’t the case! My tummy was all aflutter, at first!

This gorgeous festive Peony Today’s Special Value offer is the perfect ready-to-gift arrangement for the Christmas season. It will feature all day on the 12th of November, and there’ll be a choice of five arrangements.

Each comes in a different colour and with different floral arrangements. Peony are the only faux flower brand in the world to be recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).

The flowers come in a clear, glass, concave vase and will be in a colour corresponding with the Peony branded giftbag, with a tag and a “fresh flowers” scent stick, so the arrangement can smell just as real as it looks.

It’s a clever development! You simply pop it into the vase with the flowers. Imagine someone’s face, if you decide to gift it to them, when you hand these over and they smell like a florist’s shop!

I honestly don’t know how you’d choose just one, really. They’re all so different. The one I took home to try was the pink option. Here’s all the choices for you:

  • Red – Lilly, sparkle fern, berry skimmia, eucalyptus and fern (five stems total) in a grey bag
  • Pink – Rose, sparkle fern, berry skimmia, lambs leaf (five stems) in a champagne bag
  • White –– Peony spray, berry skimmia, berry, sparkly fern (four stems) in a green bag
  • Purple – Chrysanthemum, rose, sparkle fern, berry skimmia (seven stems) in a burgundy bag
  • Blue – Hydrangea, sparkle fern, berry skimmia, rosemary, berry in an ice white bag

Every arrangement has the same festive champagne glitter fern and seeded foliage. They are hand tied so you can separate and rearrange them, making the displays extremely versatile.

You can customise to your heart’s content… use the vase for real flowers, mix real flowers in with the Peony arrangement, add water to the bottom to make the arrangement look more realistic as the stems are waterproof, or use other Peony stems to make your own unique floral arrangement.

As you can see, my little Pixiecat just HAD to get involved in the photos when I was having a little play with the TSV! She and her sister, Popsiecat, have been members of our family for over twelve years and they still melt my heart to slush! I can spend ages just looking at them and talking to them. I know I’m biased but she is a sweetie, isn’t she?

If you’ve started thinking about Christmas gifts I have something massive to tell you about!

I’m looking forward to spending an hour with top beauty brand, Elemis, this coming Sunday at 7pm. If you didn’t know, Elemis is one of the UK’s leading luxury skincare brands. Defined by Nature – Led by Science.

Elemis have been around for 29 years and have spent 24 fantastic years at QVC! Harnessing the power of natural actives and cutting-edge technology, they’ve formulated some of the most influential anti-ageing products & professional spa therapies the beauty industry has ever seen.

So, let me tell you a little more about the massive and hotly awaited Christmas Today’s Special Value offer featuring on air this Sunday… although, here’s a tip: it’s available to buy ahead of the on air launch! You can take a look now by clicking here.

It’s their biggest to date, and it’s the first time we’re offering seven pieces in our November TSV. It comprises a complete skincare and bath & body regime, which includes the launch of the NEW Modern English Rose aromatic as one of the two options.

This fragrance is currently only available at QVCUK. For the ultimate nourishing experience for the body, explore the NEW Modern English Rose aromatic. It’s an exclusive blend specially produced from hand-harvested and carefully selected British rose petals, echinacea and British borage honey.

The other option is the Skin Nourishing Collection. A comforting, cocooning classic aromatic, often described as a hug in a bottle. Universally adored and one of the original signature aromatics, it’s packed full of omega-rich cotton seeds and camellia oil with a feather-like texture that deeply hydrates the skin.

It’s skin health in a bottle, and it’s one of my all-time favourite Elemis scents.

Whichever option you go for, the TSV includes their multi-award winning hero product, Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. It has proudly held the title of winner of Best Moisturiser in the QVC Beauty Excellence Awards for the last 7 years and has over 75 five-star reviews!

What’s also great is you can either gift the entire collection in the luxury cosmetic bag or ‘sift and gift’ the Bath & Body products in the gift envelope provided.

Speaking of gifting, you know how men can sometimes be tricky to buy for? Well, perhaps you might like to get in early for the wonderful men’s collection Elemis have put together for the season?

Like our Today’s Special Value offer this set comes at a massively reduced price compared to going direct to Elemis. Do your own homework and make sure you get your orders in! Not just for Christmas, but for birthdays and so on, too.

Don’t forget our special promotion of £1.95 P&P on all beauty in the run up to Christmas. It’s a good time to stock up on your fave lipsticks, mascaras, shampoos etc!

And of course, take a look at this week’s Big Deals. We have a gorgeous Hiker Boot from Moda in Pelle, a ModernSoul top, a Bobby Brown Shimmer Collection and lovely set of two trunks from BundleBerry by Amanda Holden.

A huge thanks again for supporting my blog. I love reading your comments and appreciate you so much.

Love Catherine xxx
