Our Winter Wonderland

7

Well, we made it out the other side of the festive season and ALMOST had a white Christmas! We had snow both before and after Christmas up here in Warwickshire and I have to say it was absolutely beautiful. There are no filters on these pictures, these views were in completely natural light and utterly magical to the naked eye. As for Christmas, as always it was filled with all things fabulous as I hope yours was too, and thank you for all your good wishes via social media and Christmas cards sent in to the studio in London!

So we saw in the New Year with friends and had a typically raucous evening playing games, lots of charades and the children had their first taste of champagne too which had interesting responses! I think we’ve caught up on sleep now and that means it’s time to get things ready for 2018. Currently I am knee-deep in boxing up decorations; calendars and diaries are ready to be organised for the year ahead as well as back to school jobs of opticians, dentist, new uniform etc. etc. … all great stuff!

I have a good feeling about the year ahead and am very excited about all the opportunities and surprises that will come our way. As for QVC of course there’s lots of new ahead and already we are looking forward to launching some brands and products you’ve not seen before. One to look out for in the next couple of weeks is called Julep, it’s a make-up and beauty brand which I have been road testing this week. Sorry to tempt you already with something, (it’s unfair isn’t it?) just when you thought you have all you need along comes something new!

I personally love the K-Beauty Double Cleanse Collection with charcoal cleansing sponge and make-up removing oil, their Cushion Complexion 5-in-1 Perfector concealer/foundation/contour pens have the most beautiful finish, but most innovative is their With a Twist Lash Boosting Bamboo Mascara you can twist the end of it and change the volume of the brush head which allows you to really get exactly what you’re looking for, it’s a genius design!

So new year skincare and make-up sorted, it is time to go and take some lights down! Sending you all much love and wishing you the very best for 2018!!

Happy New Year Pipa. Hope the children were not to wizzy on their first taste of champagne.

Happy New Year Pip! Your post brought back memories – my aunt who had moved to Canada with my cousins came home for Christmas bringing pink champagne. I was 10, and my parents didn’t drink. I so wanted to like it as it seemed terribly glamorous, as was my aunt –
it was horrid! And at my now 44 years of age I still can’t touch pink champagne!
