Well, since writing my last blog we are still surrounded by Easter Eggs in the Brook household. Surprisingly, for me, I’ve been really well behaved and paced myself! There is a reason for having so many… We ended up buying mountains of them from the supermarket a few days after Easter when seeing massive reductions on the prices! We couldn’t (well mainly me) resist!
Recognised as one of the most coveted of gems, so is alongside Diamond, Ruby and Sapphire. Not bad company to keep – is it?!
Believed to have been first mined in Egypt over 4,000 years ago but is also found across the world in Africa, South America, Russia and Pakistan.
Part of the Beryl family, arguably the most famous, and is closely related to Aquamarine and Morganite. Pure Beryl is colourless and it’s the trace elements which determine the gemstone, and for Emerald – the influence of Chromium and Vanadium help generate the most beautiful shade of green.
Here are a few designs which have caught my attention…
Starting with the 2.10ct Zambian Emerald and 0.23ct Diamond Ring in 9ct Gold. A beautiful design, with a simplicity in the styling that I love, which showcases the colour and cut brilliantly.
Next, the Zambian Emerald and Diamond accent trilogy ring in 9ct Gold. Another exquisite design, and I particularly like the shaping of the gold that complements the cut of the stone in the shoulder perfectly.
Finally, for sheer simplicity and style how about the Emerald solitaire station pendant and 45cm chain in Sterling Silver Yellow Gold Vermeil. Gorgeous, and I think will make a perfect gift for someone celebrating their birthday this month!
All, of course, is backed by our fantastic thirty day money back guarantee!
