Happy Christmas everyone!
In fact this week’s blog will be released on Christmas Eve! I am of course writing it prior to then, so I imagine many of you, myself included, will be doing last minute errands and masses of wrapping presents, running out of sticky tape and ribbon. I find by the time I get to my last parcel the quality of my wrapping has somewhat deteriorated!
The first photo on this blog is not my tree or my room living, actually the tree isn’t even in this country! Confused? Keep reading to find out more…
Let’s go back a bit though as before I wrote this I visited Bahrain this month. It was a short little trip to visit Elliot whilst he was out there and it was my first time. The tree photo was taken in the hotel we were staying in. I love visiting new places and it was a real treat to be in the sun – even if it was only four days. I’ve added some photos from the trip and I’m especially excited about a little project I set myself. As many of you know I love fabric, clothes and design and as it happens Bahrain has some amazing fabric choices with incredible vibrant colours. Take a look at this material that I found.
I bought it from the first shop here and then took it to this tailor.
One of the pieces looked like this.
And ta da!
The tailors are great and so friendly and helpful. We also visited a fascinating museum of culture where I found this beautiful original Singer sewing machine. Check my Instagram eilidhnairnTV for more pics from the trip. I must admit I have never been brilliant with a sewing machine but I used to run fashion workshops for kids and help them make clothes from using unwanted clothing. Here it is.
Whilst out there I saw so many jewellery shops with the most incredible gold and diamonds which were waaay above my budget but fun to look at. They use a lot of bright yellow gold and tiny white diamonds. Being a total magpie I was mesmerised by them. If however like me you love the look without the price tag then you may like our Links of London earrings. We have a great reduction in price plus no P&P! These beautiful knot design earrings sit elegantly and neatly in your ear. I like the understated feel they have and they come in a stylish Links of London box. So all ready to go!
Perhaps some of you were lucky enough to be gifted some jewels for Christmas. At this point I can’t share with you any of my lovely pressies as I’m writing this before the big day. I have had my eye on some of our Diamonique pieces however and I’m delighted to say that this week we have some great shows coming up on jewellery. So keep tuning in each day to pick yourself up a little post-Christmas pressie at a great price! I love statement jewellery and this ring is fabulous and bold and glamorous! The Diamonique stones, which are simulated diamonds (that look completely real to the naked eye) are stunning.
I will be back at QVC on Boxing Day so I do hope some of you will join me. I’d love to hear how your Christmas has been and what your favourite bit of the dinner was. I love grazing afterwards and making cranberry sauce, veggie stuffing, turkey, mayonnaise sandwiches. Yum! Take care of each other, Christmas can also be a lonely time and a mince pie and hello to someone on their own can change their day around.
Happy Christmas to you all.
