No Tarts With tarte!

Pipa Gordon tarte maracuja oil trialHere we are once again in June, celebrating Beauty Month and the sun is ACTUALLY shining a fair amount too! Marvellous!

So, as you may have noticed across all the presenter blogs, lots of us have been given products by the buying team to road test and blog about.

I was given the brand tarte and have been trying out their overnight facial oil and a make-up palette … yes I know, it's a hard life indeed!!

FPipa Gordon tarte Eyeshadow trialirstly, I checked out the brand; brand ethos is always very important to me so to discover that tarte are eco-friendly and cruelty-free is always a good start! If you go to their website they state, "always formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate and gluten".

Knowing they are ingredient savvy and open to making promises such as this, tarte stands in good stead in my opinion. You'll also see the logos that give the official stamp stating they are cruelty free, vegan friendly and dermatologically tested.

So, first the pure Maracuja Oil; as their packaging says "not all oil is created equal" and I would agree wholeheartedly. Lots of oils can be bulked-out with goodness knows what, so unless you know exactly what you are putting on your face, you could be wasting your money.

I am thrilled to say that this is 100% maracuja which is derived from a Brazilian passion fruit, rich in vitamin C and essential fatty acids… amazing for tired, uneven, parched and lacklustre skin!

I truly believe that make-up can only look as good as the skin under it so I would always prioritise investing in great skincare over and above make-up. I would also always say that beauty comes from within… that aside, we do love our make-up and the tarte Amazonian Palette I have been using is really rather gorgeous!!

I've always loved doing dramatic eyes but since changing my hair, I've needed to tweak my make-up slightly. Being my own colour again also means I don't need to compensate so much, however I still love a smoky-eye and the plum tones in the palette are perfect for a not too heavy but slightly dramatic eye.

You'll find a lot more available during Beauty Month and going forward, so keep your eyes peeled for tarte "high performance naturals" to add to your collection.

Enjoy Beauty Month on QVC and all the other wonderful things that come your way…

Much love

Pipa x
