I think the two new channels will be fabulous. Will be able to see what I have missed and also the QVC style sounds really good.
    Well done QVC

I’m currently watching the new QVC style channel and a second Lulu Guinness show is on. Unfortunately the repeats that are being shown are from a special anniversary show so whilst Julia is enthusing about 4 easy pays, special discounted prices and special offer 5p p&p these offers are not reflected in the prices and details on screen, which are higher and not easy pay!!!!!
Maybe the editors should have used other Lulu Guinness repeats?!

I am so upset that the red button has been taken away from QVC – it was so innovative and useful – not to mention tempting me to buy on impulse from the comfort of my chair!! I am dissapointed with the new channels – item I responded to (lulu guinness) was already on waitlist! – and I had to switch on my computer to get further details and try to order it – also confusing to hear comments about TSVs and later programmes which of course have already aired!
Why has somethinbg so wonderful replaced by repeats which do not work well on a shopping channel?
Can we please have the red button back on 640

  4. Sandra August 13, 2013 at 3:29 pm -  Reply

Just reading an earlier statement about the red button being removed.I too was dissapointed but have found that you can still get the same text on your screen ie TSV, hot picks and earlier items by pressing the text button on your remote, it then comes up exactly as it used to with the red button. It works on freeview no 16. Hope this helps.

I am so disappointed there is no more red button. It was so quick and easy to order and to see the TSV first thing on a morning instead of waiting for it to air. Shame.

Removing the red button will stop me buying . the button was great and easy to purchase the items we want. I think this is a big mistake by qvc because lots of people use the items red button as a impulse buy . The removal will alter my spending .Please QVC reconsider and put it back.

I am very upset that qvc have removed the interactive facility on the red button, and replaced it with two new channels showing repeats ! In this day and age of technology, I am surprised that qvc has actually gone backwards and removed one of the easiest and quickest ways of ordering. Now I can no longer run through a preview of what’s in the hour, and order before it is shown on TV, subsequently, everything I have tried to order today has been sold out. Very very disappointed !!!!!!

Really miss red QVC Active button. On the plus side I won’t be spending as much as its too much hassle now to order & check what the TSV is. Please bring it back..

QVC have just lost a happy customer. No red button!! I don’t have time to switch on my laptop every morning, but with the red button I could find out the TSV,hot picks etc really quickly.
Less customer service means less happy customers.

  10. Gail Pessol August 13, 2013 at 7:49 pm -  Reply

Once again we have change imposed upon us in relation to what is and isn’t available on the TV. No access to hot picks, TSV special, the previous hour or QVC style all on one channel i.e QVC Active and no red red button since Saturday.
There seems to be an assumption that we all have i phones/apps and a laptop on our knees. I think someone has made a huge miscalculation about what we want as customers.
I had to wait 45 minutes this morning just to find out what the TSV actually was on Channel 640. Did I want to log on….no I wanted to peruse the options whilst drinking my tea and chilling out at 7.20am.
Still perhaps it will be a blessing because I can see my purchases dropping by 75% under the current option of viewing without the red button… perhaps I should be thanking QVC and not moaning about the changes. Is the future for QVC an online service and just becoming a routine shopping channel that is no longer a service leader?

Please, please, please bring back the red button, I haven’t bought anything since it has been discontinued. I seem to be too slow as items are sold out before I have a chance to buy them. I am so disappointing as this system worked perfectly and was very quick and easy. The new channels are just repeats and not as interesting as the live channel.
The red button back on 640 asap PLEASE!!!!!!

I really miss the red button. getting rid of it is a step backwards in my opinion.

I don’t like not having the red active button as I used it to see what the TSV was each day now you don’t print the TV guide anymore. I don’t always have time in the morning to put on my computer to find out the new TSV and of course I will miss out on the offer. I don’t think I shall be buying off QVC so much.

  14. Liz August 13, 2013 at 10:40 pm -  Reply

Where is the red active button ? It was very useful and great if you missed the start of a programme to enable a quick catch up. Sorry but do not want shows that do not reflect current price or availability of stock.

Bring back the red button on channel 640. It was so useful for seeing what items would be shown in a particular hour. We can’t all watch all day long and it is not always convenient to be on line. It is so easy to miss an item now, especially as you no longer show all the items that have been featured at the end of each hour.
Come on QVC listen to your customers . I can’t believe you have undertaken any market research to hear our views of the brilliant red button service.

QVC still has their Quality and their Value but it has lost it’s Convenience by discontinuing the red button that was a big mistake for their continued sales.

    Red button back please

  20. L Wharam August 21, 2013 at 4:55 pm -  Reply

Please bring back the red button for all the customers who do NOT spend hours every day on a computer or smart phone.
I wonder how may older customers, like me, used the red button every day, and will order far less now that facility has gone.
This backward step can not be good for trade at QVC.

No red button, not many purchases from me from now on! Why do away with something which gave access to more live show items? Doesn’t make any sense at all. Many people don’t have the time to sit patiently waiting for each item to air. Think QVC will lose custom and regret this move.

Please give us red button addicts our daily fix , I bet you are losing a fortune in missed sales since turning off the red button, who made this idiotic mistake, let me guess, it was a man wasn’t it?

  26. Jo September 3, 2013 at 9:02 am -  Reply

At first I thought the red button was broken on my remote as couldn’t believe they would remove. As previous comments, and even though I do have computer, smartphone etc to hand, I would always check the TSV replay and hot picks on TV when I was getting ready in the morning, really convenient and also because want to view on big screen so I can see the item properly!!! Madness to remove.

Please bring back the red button. I won’t be buying as much as dont have time to put computer on first thing in the morning. Where is the tv guide print out?

Just to add to the others I really miss the red button, at first I thought something was wrong with my tv! Then I began to realise that it no longer exist, I couldn’t believe it. It was such a helpful tool to see what the tsv was or if you missed a show you could watch it in the next hour. So I am just as disappointed as the rest.

I agree with you all, QVC has shot itself in the foot by getting rid of the red button. Please note QVC, we (your customers) are not all trendy, with-it types and I quite like being a Luddite. My mobile is basic for sending texts and speaking to people, I do not have a computer of any description at home and to me an ‘app’ sounds like an apple without its ‘pull’. Come on QVC, I want to come in from work put my aching feet up, press the red button and see what the TSV is. Remember that many employers are becoming strict about employees using their works computer to get internet access, even during their lunch break. Sorry QVC, you are not worth losing my job for.

Red button ordering must return as it was the best way to make a purchase.
We can’t be bothered to fire up the pc every time we see an item that interests us, when I tried Qcut that failed so I called the order line only to be kept on hold with repeated messages being played from Pippa!
Come on QV lets get that C back again so we really do have the Convieniance of placing an order whilst watching tv.
Without the red button we will be saving money!

Can’t believe red button has gone. You won’t be getting so many purchases from me in the future. Over half if what I bought was via red button. Ridiculous.

I was introduced to QVCUK by my Boyfriend 18 Months ago, he has been a member since QVCUK started.
We like many own an interactive TV so now the easiest way to order has been taken away from us…..Why?
My mobile phone of choice is Windows so no QVCUK app available, I do not own a tablet nor a PC of my own,
At work we have very limited access to websites during lunch time, certainly no online shopping.
I have used the phone a few times but have better things to do during my spare time than hang on in a queue.
So this relatively new QVC member is very very disappointed that the easiest way to order has been taken away.
I would sit watching QVC on my tv, see an item I liked, hit the RED button job done.
Sorry QVC but now for me you are not Convenient.

VERY disappointed to find the red button gone on QVC. I never heard any announcement so I thought my tv was broken. I don’t have time to sit and watch through a prog to see what’s coming up and using the intereactive button I could see and buy. Now I find I don’t bother watching at all. I am not interested in the extra channels that are repeats anyway and its all beauty products and there’s only so many creams you can buy! QVC has lost its sparkle I’m sorry to say but the red button kept me interested, but now it’s gone, so have I.

I am one of the many mature and I am sure younger QVC customers who do not have the time to look at the new channels so I miss the red button that was very convenient for me, now I feel the convenience of ordering what I want on the spot has been taken away along with my interest to watch, so now I seldom watch it as it has lost the edge it had on other shopping channels that make you phone and wait for service.

  37. Sandra October 2, 2013 at 1:10 pm -  Reply

I really miss the red button – I have to say I don’t look at any of the new channels just the main one. I used to order by the red button frequently and found it easy to look for items the TSV and hot picks. Please bring it back!
