Nailed it!

New ultra glossy, non-chip polish in Porchester SquareBeing a Nails Inc girl even before the brand came to QVC, I thought I would share some very exciting news with you: Nails Inc are launching a duo gel effect formula on Thursday the 19th September!

This plumping high-gloss formula creates an ultra glossy, non-chip finish that can normally only be achieved with a salon gel manicure. But the best news of all is that there is no nail buffing required and no UV lamp in sight!

As you can see, not only does this product come in a fab new bottle shape but wait for it – it is even available in a duo featuring Nail Inc's no.1 selling colour Porchester Square and Kensington High Street!

Now you know why I am so excited! But I have not always had great nails; in fact I was always being told off for biting them at school – most probably because it wasn't my fave place to be! When I was in the musical 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane for four and a half years, we had to wear a particular colour on our nails in keeping with the era of the show and since our nails were so poor, many of us decided to have gel nails applied!

Jill's second favourite shade: Kensington High Street One day I noticed what amazing nails my wig lady had and thought maybe I could grow mine too. I decided to have the gels removed and after sitting on the tube on the way home one night after the show, I remember seeing a young girl opposite me who had badly bitten nails. Without realising, I sat on my hands thinking, 'Ahhhh! That's what mine must look like!' That was it: my mind was made up.

From then on I began to really take care of my nails and today many people are surprised at my story as I am now known for my immaculate manicure and beautiful nails. Some even think they are not real! I have always thought a manicure and pedicure are so important – well groomed hands and feet tell you a lot about a person – male or female!

Porchester Square - the perfect shade for a healthy looking manicure!I discovered Nails Inc in at their flagship store in South Moulton street – they had a great French manicure that not only stayed shiny and glossy but was the perfect colour! I never wore another colour until Heather Berry – our Nails Inc guest – introduced me to Porchester Square, pictured here on the left! Even many years later I can't find a colour to beat it.

I get stopped time and time again asking me what colour I am wearing, so Heather, guess there's no pressure on finding a new colour for me(!) I am not sure we will ever be able to replace it.

My favourite red is St James (pictured on the left below) as it is such a chic wearable red which I love to use on my toes! Meanwhile, to keep my nails in great shape I rely on Kensington Caviar base and top coats (pictured below on the right). My nails are touch-proof and the top coat dries so quickly – it's just brilliant with a hectic lifestyle!

St James is Jill's favourite red shade Kensington Caviar base and top coat

Finally you must try Nails Inc Express Remover… my gosh it's just genius! It takes off colour in just seconds and is fab if you make a mistake on one nail. Cotton wool threads getting stuck to your other nails as you try to fix the mistake is a thing of the past with this fab set pictured below!
Nails Inc Express Remover is perfect for tidying up those little mistakes!
I would love to know what your favourite colours are and to hear your suggestions for a colour that could possibly replace Porchester Square in my collection – tough one huh?!

See you 9pm Thursday with Heather!

    Hello lovely Jill
I’m so glad Nails Inc have changed the shape of their bottle as I find the lids on the colours I’ve got very difficult to hold. I don’t have dexterity problems, just very small hands (Size J in a ring) which makes the big round lids too bulky for me.
You always look stunning with your Porchester Square and it’s my favourite shade too – long may it continue.
Must also say you looked STUNNING in that bright fuschia top you had on recently – almost as nice as that dress a few months ago that you thought was blue but viewers and tweeters told you was purple! Please keep wearing colour – ‘stunning’ doesn’t cut it.
Looking forward to seeing you and Nails Inc later this week.

Hi Jill, your nails do always look lovely and I can understand that when you find a colour you love and it goes with everything you wear, why change it. But finding you a new colour will be difficult! Also great to read your nail story and how you arrived at such healthy strong ones. It will give hope i am sure to many people who want better. The gel polish sounds good too so may have to try that. I am currently using the nailtiques range from qvc as my nails have been in a sorry state due to medication I am taking, so far 3weeks in and they are looking so much better. What is good about qvc is that you can try other treatments and if they don’t work you can return them. It’s something I really appreciate.
    Take care love Diane xx

Thankyou for all your lovely comments and I am so pleased you are loving the nails in gel manicure. I still think I will struggle to find a colour to beat it.
I will also do my best to continue to wear colour in my clothes as your comments have been too kind. I am enjoying wearing some Mark Bowver Pieces in colour from QVC
Tania I am pleased I made you laugh ref the dress colour in Blue or was it Purple? hahaha!
