It was a delight to have Roberto with us last week at QVC to showcase many new pieces within his exclusive QVC collection of Roberto by RFM.
I worked with Roberto for the first time last year and we just hit it off immediately. We both clearly have a passion for life and dedication to what we love. Roberto’s true passion and love for jewellery is totally wrapped up in his beautiful unique jewellery designs.
Roberto Faraone Mennella was born and raised in Torre del Greco, Italy, a town just south of Naples. Roberto later moved to New York to acquire a degree in Design Marketing. He was encouraged and inspired by his grandmother Stella to pursue a career in design and he carries on five generations of tradition with his new adventures like Roberto by RFM for QVC.
In 2001 he partnered with his long time childhood friend Amedeo Scognamiglio to create a fine jewellery line. Their pieces were featured in Sex and The City and started a five year collaboration with designer Carolina Herrera. With huge success following, they launched their Couture collection and in 2013 this dynamic duo launched a diffusion line for home shopping internationally.
RFM has six boutiques and I was lucky enough to visit the one on 28 Lowndes Street, Belgravia, London. It’s chic and utterly beautiful. I wanted to share with you some of my favourite pieces from his range that are effortlessly chic with so much versatility.
Roberto brings us pieces that always surprise and make a statement. Here are a few pieces I thought you might like in your jewellery collection. It was so hard to choose as his collection is simply adorable.
I wear these earrings (above) most days and bought them in silver-tone and then had to add the gold-tone too. They look so gorgeous on and I get so many comments. The crystals are so true to the look of real diamonds encrusted into the knot design.
I adore this crystal wing design ring (above left). It’s totally elaborate with six rows of stunning crystals. A true statement piece that will be admired by many. Or for something a little different try the Alici fish ring (above right). I couldn’t resist wearing this during our show together last week.
This Cortona macrame bracelet (above left) is a great layering piece with a choice of gorgeous colours. So spoilt for choice but it’s an easy piece to wear everyday. I think I’d choose the Black, Silver or the Fuchsia Silver. I also love this charm necklace (above right) which is based on Roberto’s own special piece he wears everyday. The choices are perfect in Silver, Rose or Gold-tone.
I am already looking forward to Roberto’s next visit in August!
