Well, there’s another month gone in the blink of an eye! How have you all been? I hope you’ve been keeping cozy in this chilly weather?
Life at Chez Huntley is just as busy as ever but, hopefully, you’ve managed to keep up with me on Instagram (@catherine_huntley), Twitter (@TheHuntley) and Facebook (Catherine Huntley TV). If not, please do feel free to come join in the chatter and follow me.
You’ll see updates on how I’m getting on with being a lady builder learning lots of DIY on the job at my house and, of course, a few sneak peeks of forthcoming QVC treats.
Many of you know I am a huge QVC fan myself, and shop very regularly. The picture above shows some of may favourite recent buys, including some fabulous Clarks boots, a Modalu handbag and this pretty Lulu Guinness birdcage umbrella. I’ve also been lucky enough to have this Frank Usher poncho on loan to try. It’s the Today’s Special Value offer coming up on Wednesday and I am in love with it!
One of my best buys of late was a pack of two microscopes which you attach to your phone or tablet. Wow! There are incredible! I was planning to give both as Christmas gifts but have ended up snaffling one for myself. I am hoping they’ll be back in stock before Christmas but am not so sure. I knew I should’ve bought more!
Well, here’s a little ‘just for fun’ test for you all if you fancy it. I used the microscope to take some pics of things in my kitchen. They look so different when viewed through the microscope. I do wonder if they’ll be too tricky for anyone to guess correctly but feel free to have a go. Here are the pics:
These pics might be interesting and intriguing but they lack the aww factor – so I hope you enjoy these very cute pics of Pixie & Popsie.
Note how Pops is impossible flexible with her top and bottom halves facing in opposite directions! You may wonder why Pix is sporting a hat? Well, she is extremely placid so, sometimes, my son and I like to see what we can get away with putting on her. Nothing heavy, mind, just little things like feathers or bits of paper. It’s really funny because she’s just not bothered and happily sits there enjoying the attention. Sweet little things, they are.
Well, time to dash away again but I’d love to see your comments and guesses about what’s under the microscope! In my next blog I’ll reveal the answers.
Love Catherine x
