A very sunny hello to you all this week. Has spring sprung? In our new garden crocuses have been spotted flowering and look how this little lettuce has found its way into the pot too?! I even dusted of my favourite Ultrasun Body Glimmer!
Before I get started I want to say a huge thank you to everybody who entered my blog competition for the Philosophy set of beauty goodies. The winner has been picked at random and I can now reveal it the lucky lady is Matilde so a massive congratulations to you Matilde. I hope you love your set and pamper yourself.
Talking of pampering myself and Alex were treated to a consultation with tricology experts at Philip Kingsley this week, so more on that in a bit. I can tell you I needed it after having just moved house! No matter how organised and methodical you are, how come there is always half a room that looks a tip?! That aside the new house is fantastic and we can now breathe a sigh of relief as it’ll be the last move we do for a wee while. I can’t wait to enjoy the garden and have lots of friends and family over for dinner. My biggest challenge currently is how to store my shoes, trainers and boots. For those of you on Instagram @eilidhnairnTV you may have seen the evidence of my ever growing shoe collection. So if anyone has any suggestions please send them my way.
So, I mentioned going to the Philip Kingsley clinic who are the leading authority in hair and scalp care. This is such a vast subject and affects millions of people around the world of all ages and sexes. The tricologists study hair and scalp and help people with concerns that they may have in this area. Lisa Caddy who is our fabulous guest for Philip Kingsley, had invited us to the clinic to see what happens for ourselves and to receive a hair treatment. The first impression when you walk into their beautifully restored building in Mayfair is welcoming and professional.
First of all I had a consultation with Trigologist Lisa. She uses various instruments to examine the surface of the scalp and hair. It was so interesting to learn. I was quite amazed my hair was heathy considering the amount of dye and bleach I’ve used for over twenty years! Sorry Hair. After the consultation I was taken through to the treatment room which again was very calming. They have these really cool little seating section where no one else can see you and it feels very relaxing. Lisa introduced me to her lovely colleague who then took me through the treatment.
She first wet my hair then applied the H1 Scalp Treatment which I had to sit under a steamer for 15 mins to let it work. It felt refreshing and cool and had a minty tingle sensation on my head.
Next she thoroughly washed and conditioned my hair my hair, and sprayed Perfecting Spray throughout before blow drying. My hair felt so silky soft and smooth. I do use Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo at home as well as Pomegranate & Cassis Elasticizer. I find the results are amazing and people always ask if I’ve just been to the hairdressers.
I have balayage, which mean the ends are bleached and that puts a lots of stress of the hair so to find a product that really works is just fantastic!
I hope you can tune in next week as we also have our gorgeous Diamonique Design of the Month, which one of my favs. It’s the angel wing pendant in four different colour options on a 45cm silver chain. Please click here to get your recent Big Deal updates too!
