My beauty regime and some birthday time off…

What’s your skin like? Are you happy with your morning face? I mean the pre-make-up face that stares back at you in the mirror? Mine is combination, with a tendency to get very oily in patches and I have large pores.

More recently I’ve found that Sarah Chapman’s incredible clay and a retinol-based Radiance Cream Cleanser has really perked my skin up. My morning bathroom routine has been that I slather my face in it, then jump in the shower and then I remove the cleanser with a flannel soaked in warm water.

It’s cooling, refreshing and smells divine – packed with, amongst others, Neroli and Bergamot essential oils, but above all, I’ve seen a difference in my pores over the last few months. I’ve been missing it because my bottle finished.

Sarah Chapman Duo - 209441 About six months ago I finished a bottle of Sarah’s Skin Hydrating Booster Serum, and to be honest, I’ve missed that like crazy too. I’ve been moping around because no other serum seemed to do. So it was a real joy to find both are available together in one handy Refresh & Hydrate Duo.

QVC are masters at this – putting together products that work in hand-in-hand and saving you money at the same time. Funny how some other retailers don’t tend to think that way when it comes to beauty.

Now this duo is a really clever amalgamation of two high-end skincare products from renowned facialist Sarah Chapman, who’s so sought-after at her London clinics that it’s an absolute joy to have her in our QVC studios.

I’m looking forward to seeing the results I get from using them together as part of a system. Have you used this set yet? If you’ve got similar skin issues as mine, and you haven’t tried it yet, then give it a whirl!

It’s my birthday on Tuesday 25th August, and Austen’s a few days later on the 29th. Another year older and neither of us more the wiser. It means we’re both Virgos and we’re so similar in personality that we do make a good couple.

So we’ll be busy celebrating, not sure what doing because we usually go away for the week but not this time. Instead we’ll be relaxing and also spending some time de-cluttering – chiefly because of some good news we had a few weeks back. We might be moving house! Watch this space for more details. Needless to say Austen and I are very, very excited!

I’m off for a couple of weeks but see you back on QVC on 7th September (see dates below).

Belated birthday wishes, hope you had a good time.
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the beauty for dark skins show you did on QVC Beauty. Do you know when it will be repeated? I wanted to get the names of the brands so I could investigate the colours available. The make up artist was brilliant, what he did with concealer! I need to watch again to get some tips as I have been looking for a concealer to brighten up under my eyes for ages and his tips together with the colours you showed, I want to try them.
