Well I hope you are enjoying Beauty Month and all the amazing offers that are flying around! Plus did you know that all things beauty are available at just £1.95 P&P for the whole of June.
What a fantastic opportunity to either stock up on your personal beauty must-haves or try some new beauty products that could possibly become your new favourite. You never know when you just decide to try that one new beauty product, that it could possibly end up solving a problem you have put up with for years!
Talking of beauty products, I promised that I would share my absolute beauty must-haves with you this month. Now anyone who knows me, knows that I was a self-confessed beauty cream shopaholic long before the days of QVC. So for me to be surrounded by all the latest developments in skincare and cosmetics is an absolute dream come true and I do attempt to try everything!
I’m lucky that I don’t have sensitive skin, so I find I can chop and change my routine all the time without any reaction, and in fact I think it keeps my skin guessing, which is certainly not a bad thing, as it can be a little sluggish.
Anyway, onto my beauty must-haves! I was really only supposed to pick five, but I ended up with seven and that was a tough choice as I really do use a lot of products on a regular basis, but I’ve gone for things that I could honestly not do without.
Plus, the extra two are hair-related and all our hair products are included in the £1.95 postage deal too, so I just had to include them.
So my first must-have is the Decleor Micellar Oil Cleanser. This is my all-time favourite cleanser, especially when I need to remove even the most stubborn long-wear make-up and mascara. I am a great believer in the fact that anti-ageing definitely begins with how you clean your skin and if I’m double cleansing, which I tend to do now at least three times a week, I always use the Micellar Oil first.
Secondly, the Liz Earle Exfoliator. This comes as a duo but definitely go for it as you will love it. Again it’s just my favourite exfoliator ever, as it’s so quick and easy and doesn’t scratch the skin and it smells so clean and refreshing I can almost feel those dead skin cells giving up on contact. My years at QVC have allowed me to understand the importance of regularly getting rid of dead skin and allowing our creams and serum to support the cells that lie underneath. It really does make a huge difference to your completion and with this exfoliator you see a definite result instantly.
Next is Gatineau’s Age Benefit Eye Cream, which is simply fabulous particularly if ageing around the eyes is a major concern for you, and it doesn’t make my eyes puffy which so many eye creams do. I use it both morning and night and sometimes, particularly if I’m in an air conditioned environment I may even top up during the day not forgetting to go over the brow line and the eleven lines, between the eyes too.
Then I had to add a bit of James Read! The James Read Sleep Mask Tan Body is my favourite body tan and I’d advise buying it here if you are interested in the face tan too, because you then get the new Sleep Mask Tan Face, with retinol for anti-ageing included as well as the tanning mitt. The body tan is just the easiest formulation to use with no streaks and although it’s designed to sleep in and develop overnight there is no transference onto your bedding, which is crucial especially when you have have crisp white linens on the bed for summer!
Then my final must-have, before my two extra hair ones, is an absolute hero and it has to be Benefit Gimme Brow+. Benefit pride themselves on being the brow authority and although I use Gimme Brow on a daily basis, to get the best affect from it go for the Brow Picks Kit. Here you get not only the iconic Gimme Brow but also the Brow primer and The Precisely My Brow pencil and using all three products together will give you the brows you have been dreaming of.
So onto my two must have hair products the first one being from Percy & Reed and that’s the aptly named Wonder Balm! Having long fine hair I suffer from hair that really tangles easily and I find that Wonder Balm deals with the knots, combats the static, and leaves my hair really shiny. Plus it smells heavenly.
Last but by all means least, the Color Wow Root Cover Up is not only a must-have but at times a life saver. Offered in eight shades, it’s just the best at disguising the dreaded grey between colour appointments and if you are anything like me those roots seem to sprout through quicker and quicker these days, and Color Wow’s water-resistant powder formulation is so simple to use, making it more than a must have is an absolute necessity.
So that’s a little insight into my Beauty Month must-haves, do let me know what your favourite must-have beauty product is too, and keep an eye out for other presenter’s picks on our blogs and social media this month. Most importantly don’t forget that £1.95 postage on all things beauty, which also includes fragrance, but hurry it’s only available for the month of June!
Now before I go, I just wanted to mention a little TSV must-have of my own. Kipling will be bringing us a stunning offer on Thursday in the shape of the Renur cross-body bag. Perfect for summer and all those days out, when you need your hands free, the Renur will be offered in six different options included some great summer brights and prints and has a wealth of pockets and organisation. It really is the ultimate summer bag, whether you are sightseeing, travelling on holiday with documents or doing the rounds of the theme parks the Renur will feel nice and secure, stylish and keep you organised too.
Just think with all the P&P you are saving in Beauty Month, you might as well treat yourself to a new bag!
