I am lucky to have the chance to try so much of what we bring you during our beauty shows. It helps me tell you what you need to know about it if you are considering buying it, of course, but it also gives me the opportunity to fine-tune my own skincare regime.
It's good to try new ranges and also the latest developments within brands that I already use, but there is one special bottle that will always be beside my bathroom basin.
When I tell you that it's from the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare range you probably won't be surprised to hear that it is Cleanse & Polish, the multi award-winning hot cloth cleanser, which is many people's 'can't live without' cleanser.
I first met Liz Earle when she was promoting her first ever book, Vital Oils, on the Good Morning Britain show on TVam well over 20 years ago! Since then, of course, her name has become synonymous with great skincare for ages and skin types, with the Cleanse & Polish receiving its one-hundred-and-second award last month. That is an incredible achievement.
One of the most notable of those many awards was in 2012 when it was voted by a panel of around 600 experts within the beauty industry to be recognised by CEW (UK) as the most revolutionary beauty product of the last 20 years.
Launched in 1995, C&P has needed little change. It works for every skin type and age, from teenagers to their mums and dads to their great grannies! Melting away grime and make-up (even stubborn mascara, something many eye make-up removers can't manage), the polishing stage – using a muslin cloth – gives the skin a gentle exfoliation.
But without changing the plant-based winning formula, we have something special to offer you during June, QVC's Beauty Month. Now the British beauty icon is available with a beautiful new summertime Orange Flower & Chamomile scent. This limited edition features delicate fresh notes of orange flower water paired with the warm glow of English chamomile – the perfect fragrance to transport you somewhere special as you perform the ritual of massaging the rich, creamy cleanser onto your skin before gently removing it with the hot cloth.
It won't last long, and will be featured in shows through the day on Monday 9th June. If you fancy trying it, I wouldn't hesitate – it's a gorgeous new take on a real favourite. As you can see, I already have it in my bathroom!
