Just a quick note to you this week, as I promised to give you a few pointers to some of the beauty items I’ll be ordering this month. Check out the other presenter blogs too, as we’ll all be disclosing our favourites during the month. We’re enjoying reduced post and packaging charges of just £1.95 on everything from our beauty department in honour of our June Beauty Month, so it’s a great time to stock up.
I took this photo of the supplies I took with me on my trip to Namibia earlier this year – we spent the last few days in Cape Town and you can see the amazing view of Table Mountain we enjoyed from the balcony of the Airbnb apartment we stayed in.
But it’s the array of beauty stuff I’m focusing on. Everything is in travel size and I can just about squeeze this lot into the plastic bag for hand luggage.
I must admit to usually having several oils, serums and moisturisers on the go at any one time, but the brands stay much the same. Elemis, Decleor, Liz Earle, L’Occitane, Gatineau and Perricone feature here, although I would add Judith Williams to my list of regulars. But I’m a one brand girl as far as sun protection is concerned – I’m Ultrasun all the way – not just through the summer but I use it on my face all year around.
For my hair I chose Philip Kingsley for my holidays, and I would be lost with my Daily Damage Defence spray. But I also like to use Percy & Reed, especially their Wonder Balm.
Finally, I’ve been delighted at the effect of using Margaret Dabb’s Hand Serum on a regular basis – the dark patches of pigmentation have faded to the point of barely being there at all. I’m really impressed with it, although I love all her foot products as they are so effective so I shouldn’t really be surprised.
It isn’t only beauty that has the bonus of reduced p&p at the moment – if you’re quick you’ll find the same on a whole host of our favourite fashion. Everything that was part of our two day fashion event last week (which included launches of new brands to QVC – Monsoon and FitFlop) and a whole lot more besides, is available online with just £1.95 delivery charge. Find it all here.
Also, try not to miss the TSV from Kim and Co on Thursday 13th. A summer dress with a simple and flattering shape, available in block colour and prints, it’s a perfect throw on outfit for any occasion. I’ve gone casual in the lovely green leaf print and more glam in the black – how will you wear yours?!
I’ve taken a couple of days off next week to help my husband celebrate a big birthday, so I’ll be back for the end of June. Until then, take care.
And have fun!
