I have some great news for anyone who enjoys QVC fashion – we have a date for the return of my weekly Morning Style show! Many of you have been asking me whether the show will be back on our screens and I can tell you now that this coming Wednesday, 1st July, is the day.
There will be a few changes to the format but essentially we’ll have the same aim – to help you find your way around the QVC fashion department and to make the best of it for your own personal style, whatever that might be.
We will feature a specific brand each week, and bring new designs from that brand which won’t be seen in other shows. We’ll also be looking at how to mix and match the various fashion names from QVC, putting complete outfits together but also showing how one new garment can breathe new life into your existing wardrobe. We will have themes within the shows, including some favourites from our last series such as ‘the capsule wardrobe‘, ‘dressing for your body shape‘ or ‘outfits on a budget‘. I will also be picking a favourite piece each week, and hope that sometimes I might surprise you! I think I will with my choice for the first show but I’m not going to tell you any more than that right now… you’ll have to watch to find out what I mean!
I’m delighted to tell you that Charlotte will be our ‘behind the scenes’ stylist again. She has had a major role in developing the show and is largely responsible for its success. She has a knack of knowing what goes with what and how to put a look together so that it works, and she ferrets out some of the best pieces from the thousands of styles available from QVC. She will be supported by our buying and planning teams who have made Morning Style a special project and will be sourcing new designs especially for the show, which is very exciting!
I have learned so much from working closely with Charlotte and will try to pass on her advice when I present the show. She is adamant that she doesn’t want to appear in front of the camera and is happy helping the models in the changing room during the live show, but I persuaded her to have a quick chat with me in front of Will Gowing’s camera, and you can see what we had to say here…

The first show will feature a brand that has rapidly become incredibly popular at QVC and that is Join Clothes. This is a gorgeous collection of elegant, flowing clothing perfect for a contemporary wardrobe. The innovative shapes, graceful draping and well-cut lines create stunning individual pieces that work well with each other or with simple wardrobe basics.
Up to now we have mainly featured garments in a stretchy viscose jersey in soft colour palettes but I’m really delighted to be bringing a brand new Join look to Morning Style with some woven cotton designs in vibrant holiday colours! I’ve tried them all on in a variety of combinations to give you an idea of what they are. Sadly they won’t be available to buy online until a day or two before the first show (logistical stuff), but I headed into the photography studio in some samples so you can see them and get an idea of how to style them.
I’m wearing the printed sleeveless jersey top; an edge-to-edge jacket in both Fuchsia and Emerald options (the Emerald looks quite blue under the lights in the studio); their pull-on cropped trousers in both White and Light Grey; the pleat front trousers in four different colours; and a scoop-neck short sleeve top, also in Fuchsia and Emerald options.
I used a few pieces from my own wardrobe to round out some of the outfits – a pair of Diane Gilman jeans, some Women With Control cropped leggings in both black and white (they come in a two-pack), a black Vercella Vita camisole and a white Skinnytee tank. The sandals are from Birkenstock and the jewellery from MarlaWynne, Nour and RJ Graziano.
I spoke to our regular Join Clothes guest Evey Kurlander who brings the range to us from the brand’s Greek designers, mother-and-son team Yiota and Yiannis Konstantinou. She is hugely excited about the new cotton fabric, both in the matching top and jacket and also the wide leg trousers, which have a lovely, comfy, stretchy wide waistband. And after the wild success of the block colour jersey vests on her last visit (only £29.50 and all five star reviews but only a few left available on Waitlist!), she just knows that you will love the printed vest we have for you. It is such a flattering shape, and teams with the jacket really well.
Of course, the show will also feature other brands which we will be mixing and matching with each other and the Join garments. Many of us are looking forward to a holiday in the next month or so and we’ll have a variety of looks to help you decide what to pack with the least possible stress.
I do hope you’ll be able to catch the show live at 10am, but don’t worry if you miss it because like last time Morning Style will be posted on the qvcuk.com website so that you can watch it on your computer for the week following the live airing on TV. It will also be repeated each Wednesday at 7pm in a regular slot on QVC Style (Sky channel 678, Freesat channel 818).
Even better news is that a special show, only to be shown on QVC Style, straight after Morning Style at 11am on Wednesdays. Called Morning Style Edit, it’ll feature extra outfits and ideas around the general theme of the main show. There’ll be more hints and tips on how to look your best from our stylists and will be a real treat for any fan of fashion.
We’ll do our best to bring you a show to look forward to every week, but if there’s anything you’d especially like to see please let me know. You can post a comment below this blog or send a message to our Morning Style email address, email@example.com. I look forward to hearing from you, and hope you’ll be watching on Wednesday. See you then!
