Coming up in jewellery this March…

It’s a packed month coming up in the Jewellery department, and we’re here with a quick round-up of what to expect over the next few weeks to ensure you don’t miss out on anything vital.

We’ll be showing you some new pieces from Nour when they visit on the 25th, including a special price offer on this beautiful popcorn-style necklace in three colour options, with a pave crystal-encrusted heart charm pendant at the bottom (photographed here outside Q Towers by one of our bloggers!).

If you like to match, you’ll also be able to get your hands on a complementing bracelet too.

Elsewhere this month, we’ll be celebrating the whimsical designs of Bill Skinner with his first anniversary show on the 21st, as well as Studio Barse on the 14th. Skagen will also be dropping in on the 9th to celebrate their 13th anniversary, and there’ll be special anniversary pricing offers to help you join in the celebrations, including this refined mesh-strap watch that’s available in three colour options to complement your existing jewellery collection.

Ottoman Silver will be with us on 15th March for their fourth anniversary. This intricate range is bang-on trend at the moment; their filigree designs offer a twist on the openwork look, while they’re venturing into new territory and bringing along a rose gold-plated friendship bracelet too. With a toggle clasp that means it can be adjusted to fit practically every wrist, this fusion of several current trends is a fab piece to stack with other wristwear faves.

There’s also an elegant filigree ring available in Easy Pay installments that comes with a choice of faceted amethyst, lemon quartz or blue topaz stones at its heart, with an unusual teardrop shape. One of our silver buyers, Katie, had this to say:

“Ottoman jewellery is amazing for its intricate silver filigree work, and on this ring that detail extends beyond the head of the ring, right down the shoulders and as far as the shank – the parts of the ring that nobody will even see when you’re wearing it! The level of craftsmanship is really quite amazing.”

Bella Vita‘s anniversary is coming up too on the 4th, and the standout piece from their latest collection is a chunky diamond-cut bracelet. Substantial without being overly chunky, it comes in two lengths so it fits perfectly around your wrist, and it’s crafted in gold-plated bronze with an intricate Byzantine chain design – resulting in hundreds of interlocking links. It’s bursting with classic Italian elegance, so if that sounds right up your strada, make sure you don’t miss out.

If you wear only gold – and we wouldn’t blame you – three hours of Gold Fever on the 2nd will be essential viewing for you. The star attraction is an edgy and fashionable necklace comprising a link chain with five cone-shaped shards hanging at equal spaces at the bottom – it’s just begging to be worn over a leather-look dress or top. Tune it to take a closer look.

Not forgetting, we’ve got a Diamonique Spectacular just in time for Mother’s Day, while our Theatre of Gems mini-event will give you the chance to shop for more unusual stones too – but we’ll talk about those in more detail another time.

All in all, pretty packed. Check out our TV guide for shows and times, or head over to our Jewellery department right now to discover our current offers and picks.

Thank goodness, at last after nearly two years the buyers and designers have been listening for larger bracelets and necklaces, or ones with extender chains. I have missed out on so many pieces as I need at least a 20cm (8inch bracelet), and a 50cm (20inch necklace)! Keep it up QVC!
