Mel C, Tommy Steele, and Antthony back in da house!

This week…
Debbie and Mel C Mel C performed on the 'Saturday Night Gifts' show! Here's a clip!
Funny Christmas lights pic – and Tommy Steele in Scrooge at the Palladium
A little blooper from top designer Antthony – causing mischief back on the air!
And a sneaky peak at this year's massive Elemis Christmas Today's Special Value set!

Mel C perfoms live on QVC!
Oh how much I enjoyed last weekend's 'Saturday Night Gifts' show! And so did you guys by the look of it! It was a fab show as usual, especially with Mel C performing tracks from her album 'Stages' – here's one of them, and my little interview afterwards!

Mel C's TweetWill and I were inundated with Tweets and messages from her admirers – were you one? She was lovely, very sweet, and very kind to Tweet her appreciation afterwards!

If you'd like to buy the CD it's available on Waitlist, so put your name down now! – can't believe it was on Easy Pay! Gotta be the lowest instalment ever! And of course, good luck to the Spices with the new musical biopic, (or is that 'bio-musical'?) 'Viva Forever', which opened this week in London too!

Tommy Steele is Scrooge, at The Palladium – and check out the Christmas lights!
Debbie under the Regent's Street Christmas lightsStaying with theatre, I had a fun time up London this week with sis Linda (the guest for 'Red Carpet Nails' set), family and friends seeing 'Scrooge the Musical'.

It's a good show, albeit very much all about Tommy being Tommy, but if you love him, you'll really enjoy this classic musical romp. He is surely fantastic for his age – 73 is it? Some fabulous sets and effects, and of course it centres around 'A Christmas Carol', the ubiquitous Christmas tale from Dickens.

It was a treat for me, from sis and her hubby. In fact, her hubby Davidge thought it was very funny, afterwards, to take a pic of me under the Christmas lights at Oxford Circus – when you look at the pic above you'll see why! 'Nice hat'! Lol!
And here's a longer glimpse – weird image to have in lights but I guess that's sponsorship for you! Lol!

Marmite – love it or hate it – it's part of the Oxford Street display! 🙂
Anyway – do take the family to see 'Scrooge' if you’re looking for an alternative to pantos this year.
Although there are lots of panto choices too! What will you go see? Apart from maybe John Barrowman in his, Paul Lavers is also in one, and a couple of my other pals are too. Mind you, I don't think anything can beat last year's Wimbledon offering with Dame Edna. Best I've ever seen. What's yours? Leave me a comment below.
Linda and Debbie
P.S. Linda's 'Red Carpet Manicure' set is still the top seller on the Beauty Channel – and still on 3 Easy Pay! Fab Christmas gift, get it whilst you can! Up to 151 five star reviews now!

Antthony returns – or is that 'St Antthony'?!!
This was another funny pic featuring lights – it was taken of the lovely man himself, as we prepared for a show under the lights in the prep room – he said it's a Debbie with Antthonyreflection off his 'chrome dome'! Hehe! I'd say it's more his dazzling personality!

It was greeeeat fun having him on air again – always a pleasure, and such good entertainment – here's a little clip as to why! Enjoy! And we'll miss him till he returns in February – and then only four times next year 'cos he's so busy!

But do remember to check out some of the super prices still available on our website –, then search Antthony with two 't's' – such good bargains on some of the fragmented stocks – great offers! (Same goes for all our brands actually!)
(And if you love your fashions, do watch out for the new Ronnie Nicole Today's Special Value – see below.)

Marlene Watson-Tara Stop press! Competition news for next week's blog! Now you may recall there's only two weeks till Craig and I attend Marlene's healthy eating/weight loss talk in Dorking – there's a couple of places left if you'd like to join us? (For full info email the lovely lady marlenewt@hotmail.couk, or Tweet @marlenewt to find out more.)

The Friday night talk on December 7th is 7pm-9pm, and Saturday and Sunday (December 8th and 9th) workshop is 10am-4pm. In Wotton, near Dorking! I'm most excited about the 'turn on your fat burning switch' segment, and also the new 'anti-ageing' diet info!

Anyway – she's kindly offered to run a brief competition to win a place on the course! If you can leave a comment on my blog saying you'd like to win the place, and can get yourself to Dorking those dates, and would really appreciate coming along, then leaving a comment will enter you into the draw! Full Ts and Cs next week…

Brad Well if you've been following The X Factor like me, you'll know there are some cracking acts this year! I think I will be voting this week, the semi-final, (after watching it on Sky+, obviously! 'Cos I'm on air with the gift show Saturday night – see below for this week's action-packed one!)

Well one of the reasons is 'cos several people have said that my son Brad, whom I met this week for Sunday lunch in nearby Tilling's tea rooms in Gomshall, is very much like one of the Union J lads – Josh is it? Yes I can see the resemblance! Lol.

Update on last weekend's signed Mick Hucknall CD auction – Helen Martin and I raised £50 for BCC – well done to winning bidder Cynthia! It was fast and furious but closed out with Cynthia being the winner! The CD will be on its way to you soon Cynthia!

A Facebook funny Facebook funny – after last week's fuss about 'what do you put in your bra' – this pic tickled me! Anyone who's ever had 'one of those' bras – will know exactly what it means! Lol.

And last week's 'winner' of the most unusual thing you put down your bra is – Barbara, who left me a comment on last week's blog to say she was renowned for putting things down her 'secret store' – even a Creme Egg once! Which she forgot about – oh dear, big – messy – mistake!

Funny sign at Chiswick Park And also following on from last week's funny dog pic, this sign made me smile, on our ChiswicK Park site – nice when people have a sense of humour eh! Watch out next week for a hilaaaarious doggy pic with a Star Wars theme!

And by the way, several people have asked for our address, so you can kindly send cards to presenters etc. As usual, anyone sending me a card with an address on will get one back. It's QVC, Unit 8, Chiswick Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, London, W4 5XU.

WATCH – this week's review is not of the 'Life of Pi' – even tho' I got to go to an early screening this week (I'll review that when it's released in the cinemas – around 20th December – but well worth a watch incidentally).

It's 'In Time' – starring Justin Timberlake and the girl from 'Mamma Mia' (Amanda Seyfried). It's a complicated story involving a future world where time is currency, and how Justin's character breaks the system – I really enjoyed the cerebral element to it, (ie. listen carefully or you miss bits!) and some of the effects.

And the Matrix-like notion that an 'other world' may exist in the future where the rules have changed. He was very good – as usual. And whilst it's not the most fool-proof film (the baddie was very weak, for instance), if you like sci-fi do go see! I gave it 8 out of ten.

Debbie with the reading glasses TSVQVC – OK, so this week has got several highlights to look out for! First if you read this in time, DO NOT MISS the return of the amaaaazing bargain spectacles set (sold out early last time round) – I think it's about seven pairs for an incredibly low price! Gill Gauntlet back on air midnight Thursday 29th November and through Friday 30th, whilst stocks last! (pic of me with them taken by web team for home page if poss)

PLUS – this week's 'Saturday Night Gifts' show – stars the rare chance to preview the Elemis annual stonker of Elemis TSVa Christmas TSV!

Usually launched at midnight, Alison Young and I will be showing it – not only in my 8pm Gifts show, but also at 11pm, then she launches it officially at midnight – it's gonna be so busy! Incidentally – if you're a blog-follower, we had an interesting 'bloggers event' on Wednesday this week, behind the scenes at QVC, so you may be 'reading all about it' even before you see it on my Gifts show Saturday!

Debbie at the Elemis bloggers eventAnd if your'e a beauty blog reader, your favourite blogger might have been there! Emer from Elemis and I both did a little presentation, and then some of the ladies had a go at being a QVC guest – watch out for their experiences going up online, eg. Fabulous magazine's beauty editor, Giselle Wainright, who I thought did very well!

Then next week it'll be all go in the countdown to the big day as we're into December, and I'll be featuring the new Ronni Nicole dress in a similar fabric to the recent Tiana B Ronni Nicole dress Today's Special Value. Join me on Tuesday (December 4th) night at midnight and throughout Wednesday.

Oh and by the way, the Honora Pearls TSV necklace I've been wearing is Tuesday through the day.

Anyway, next week will be my first December blog of 2012! Arrgh! Where's the year gone?! And I'll be deciding my 'TiFFT' for November – well done to Anita who's been keeping the 'try it for the first time' club going on my blog comments tho'! What's yours?

Best wishes,

Dream a Little Dream by Sue MoorcroftP.S. Well done to winner of the Sue Moorcroft novel 'Dream a Little Dream', Angie Keeler, who is a big Sue Moorcroft fan and is very excited to have won!

Don't forget the same thing applies to next week's competition to win a place on the macrobiotic weekend and talk, learning about food for weight loss and anti-ageing, just leave a comment as usual saying you'd like to be entered – as long as you can get yourself to Dorking on 8th/9th 10-4pm! And the Friday night talk is 7-9pm if it's easier to go to just that! Full info in next week's blog – but it'll be a quick one so be prepared to act sharpish if you win!

    Hi Debs,
I think this is the first time I’m writing to you while you’re not on air.
Thoroughly enjoyed your hour with Antthony and the ‘glove’ conversation had me in stitches.
Thank you for encouraging me to try things for the first time and for me, this month’s was my greatest achievement.
Food for anti-ageing sounds very appealing to me and I would love to win a place to learn all about it. That would make the best TiFFT for December. x

    Hi Debs
Thanks for giving more info on sizes in the fashion shows, really helps, I’ve ordered the Susan Graver trousers with the zip, hope they’re ok because I haven’t had much luck with clothes from QVC – because of the sizes.
Just an idea, but would maybe be good to give more help along the lines of e.g. “these trousers better for pear shape but these trousers are better if you’re bigger on the waist etc”.
I would definitely be buying clothes from QVC if I had more confidence in the sizes.
I know I can send back but I don’t want to mess about like that.
    bye for now
