Me! With a Fitbit? Really???

Ok, confession time! When it was announced that Craig, Claire and myself were being given a Fitbit to try out before you see it this Sunday 22nd March, I thought, ‘Whaaaat?! Fitness gadget?? Nooooooooooo!!’ But I tell you what folks, I am sold!! This thing is genius!!

Anyone who watches regularly will know that I’m not exactly “Mrs. Techy”, but this was a breeze to set up. For those of you who have absolutely no idea what I’m droning on about………… please have a look at the pic! This little watch-like gadget keeps tabs on you, including everything from monitoring your heart rate, counting steps, calculating calories, monitoring your sleep, keeping an eye on your exercise and any weight loss goals……… to washing the dishes, making the tea, and taking the dog for a walk!!! (Only kidding on those last three unfortunately!!!!)

Seriously though I’m thrilled and motivated, which in itself is a miracle!! Although I lead a fairly busy existence, I had no idea just what my activity levels were. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, no shocked, would be a better description.

If anyone had told me that I would average walking around 6miles a day, climbing an average of 25 flights of stairs, alongside having a relatively decent resting heart rate, ‘Get outta here!!’ would have been my response. But it’s true! And do you know what? It just makes you want to do more. You simply must tune in on Sunday for a full presentation as I’ve only just scratched the surface!!

I’m smitten……… but I must get more sleep!!! Five hours, two minutes is rubbish!! I thought I’d had more, so it just illustrates how great this little gizmo gadget is!!! Must try harder!!! Zzzzzzzz…

    Hello Anne,
Lovely to read this little blog, I’ve been a bit behind reading them recently as time seems to be passing so quickly, can you believe we are nearly at Easter?
I have been interested in these Fitbits for a while and have considered getting one, I would love to know how many miles I walk in a day and stairs also.
Love your peony flowers on an earlier blog, again, something else I have been tempted with, but have always been against artificial flowers, but these really look realistic. I can feel a purchase coming on.
Until next time and thanks for helping me spend some pennies. I hope you and your family have a happy Easter.
    Love Nicky xx
