It’s a quick one from me this week as I am writing this on half term in Cornwall in a caravan park with zero reception and very bumpy WiFi. I will do a proper blog all about that next week when we are home and the mountain of washing has been done!
We did get our half term started early last week though as we are making sure to take advantage of every lovely day that we can. It’s so easy to just chill at home after school and work days but the long bright days mean that we can get even more out of every day. It also means we have easier ways of keeping the kids away from the telly!
So last Thursday we decided to bin dinner at home and go and get fish and chips and sit out on the picnic benches looking over the harbour. I’m not sure there are many restaurants that can beat that for a dining experience. It was warm and sunny and the sea was sparkling. The kids love getting take away fish and chips as to them, it’s extra exciting eating out of cardboard boxes so we also don’t have to force them to finish their dinner!
Once we are out on an evening like that it’s so easy to keep the kids out til pretty much bedtime. We went down to the beach play park after dinner and then onto the sand for a run around. With Fred and my schedules meaning that sometimes we are like ships passing in the night passing the parenting baton to each other it’s even more important for us to make the most of days and evenings that we are all together. I hope these are the memories that Tilda and Ivy will remember when they are older.
It was also an opportunity to get into the Cornwall state of mind as I was wearing Cornish brand Seasalt which recently joined the fold at QVC. I’m wearing the Sailor Breton T-Shirt in navy. I teamed it with the Mist Skirt which has a lovely ditsy floral print. This is definitely an easy summer look and I will use both pieces separately. I would wear a cream jumper with the skirt and shorts with the stripy T shirt.
Before I go and get back to the last day of our half term holiday I wanted to let you know about the Today’s Special Value that I will be launching this Saturday night. It’s from Revitalash and if you are already a convert then you probably already have it in the diary! If you’ve never used it then I can’t personally recommend it enough. I think it’s one of my most best loved beauty products.
I have been using it for about two years now. I usually really concentrate on using it for the summer months because I wear less make-up so I want my lashes to look their best. Now, results on Revitalash will vary from person to person and you can’t count out other factors in how your lashes are looking and behaving, but for me it transforms my lashes to the point that people ask me if I am wearing lash extensions.
What is it and how do you use it?! It’s a serum that you brush onto clean oil-free lashes every day and you have to be good and use it regularly. You must stick with it too, after a couple of weeks of using it the first time I wondered if something was ever going to happen, then after week three bam, my lashes were batting my sunglasses!
In the picture here I have been using it again for about 2.5 weeks so I know there is more to happen with the results of my lashes. They were still looking quite good after the last tube I had gone through though.
In this Today’s Special Value you will be getting:
1 x Advanced Lash Conditioner (3.5ml)
1 x Double Ended Mascara & Primer (5ml total).
In the picture above I’m using Tarte Mascara Lights Camera Lashes as I didn’t have the Revitalash mascara with me. Tune in on Saturday night or Sunday to see the full presentations.
Right, I’m signing off now. See you back at QVC this weekend and check back next week if you want to see what we got up to in Cornwall. You can sneak a peek over on my Instagram for some of the pictures now though.
Lots of Love
