Nearly July already… I keep saying it, but this year is racing along! I’ve been so busy with stuff at home (we’ve finally started work on the new garden, but it will be a two to three year project minimum to do the structural work, including building a seating area of some sort and a BBQ area and so on; I’ll show you pictures as we go along!), plus I’m trying to get my next book finished and plough on with my 1,000 mile charity running challenge too. It’s all things I love doing though so I’m not complaining, and when it comes to running I’ve been enjoying it more than ever this year with even more of the beautiful Cotswolds on my doorstep since we moved house (if you’re new to these blogs, I live in Gloucestershire and commute up and down to London for work at QVC).

I never run on roads – running cross country, on trails, up and down hills and through woods and fields is my kind of heaven – and over the past couple of weeks I’ve taken my little action camera out with me and captured some footage of some of the routes I’ve run. Sorry, it’s a bit wobbly, as it’s hard to keep a camera still while you’re running! How lucky we are to have unspoiled countryside like this to escape to. I love it so much, and the work/life balance I’ve achieved in recent years; the buzz of the TV studios in London and the peace of the countryside at home.
Speaking of work, Beauty Month ends this week so I thought I’d quickly sneak in mentions of two more products I can’t live without and which I had to leave out of my last blog because I ran out of space! First, Ultrasun’s Anti-Pigmentation Hand Cream, which is AMAZING. The difference between the pigmentation on my hands and my arms is so noticeable since I started using it… I want to slather it all over my body!
And also, big love for Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer. This has become a cult product and it covers pretty much anything. I use medium or light medium depending on whether I’ve tanned or not. Beauty Month has been fantastic – I hope you’ve been able to try some new brands and stock up on your favourites!
