Looking forward to a great Samsung TV offer

I hope this blog finds you well. It’s been so busy these last few weeks at QVC I have no idea where the time has gone and I can’t quite believe we’re nearly half way through the year already! When not at QVC I seem to be cutting the grass non stop at the moment… it just keeps growing – along with daisies which seem to be popping up every five minutes! We’ve had some beautiful weather recently and it’s been lovely to simply chill and relax in the garden.

It’s great to see wildlife come to the garden too. We have a hedgehog the regularly visits and although I’ve no idea what this is growing at the end of the garden this little bee was having a wonderful time dancing from flower to flower. Bees

I think working shifts has a habit of making time move quicker. The first time I worked shifts was when my radio career began 28 years ago (again, I don’t know where the years have gone!)

I started off by presenting the overnight show from 1 til 6 at an amazing radio station. Isle of Wight Radio. I loved every minute of it but there were times when I was so, so tired. It was a time when everything was played from vinyl or CD so you couldn’t take your eye off the ball for one moment, whereas these days we play the music from a computer and you can line up several tracks with station jingles and idents in between.

There was one occasion when I did fall asleep on-air though. I never thought I would, but it happened! I was playing a track and was so tired I closed my eyes for a few moments… I’ll be fine I thought, it’s only for a second or two… Well, those few moments turned into a good ten minutes. Thankfully the track was playing from a CD album, but there were a few seconds of complete silence between each song. I woke with a jump and for a split second didn’t quite know where I was. Thankfully no-one noticed. I was afraid I was going to get into huge trouble!

Staying on topic, I also fell asleep once while standing up. I was working to a tight deadline in a studio based in London. I was laying down a track and time was of the essence, but I was so tired… I don’t even remember closing my eyes! I woke up by falling over… I just managed to catch myself in time before I hit the floor! It could’ve been a very different story. Radio is a medium I absolutely love and hopefully will be back on the air sometime soon – as long as I can make it work alongside QVC.

So with all those late shifts it’s nice to relax and unwind from time to time and what better way than watching a favourite TV show, movie or sporting event. Well, if you’re in need of a TV or looking for an upgrade we have an astonishing TSV coming up on Sunday 3rd June.

The technology is fantastic and so is the brand. It’s from Samsung and is the NU7400 50” Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV. Quite a mouthful! With more than 1 billion colours the picture quality is outstanding. Another feature which has really caught my eye is Voice Assistant. This is really clever, where you can control a variety of features and commands by asking it! All will be revealed at launch and throughout the day.

Happy viewing – it’s definitely a TV to consider for the great sporting schedule which isn’t too far away!

Another TSV to keep an eye out for is the very next day on Monday 4th June. The Pack Mate, 12pc Vacuum Bag Set. These are brilliant and are always popular. For storing the likes of duvets, cushions and clothing they’re superb.

Lots to watch out for at QVC!

Take care and see you soon!

    Hi Charlie.
Your lovely little blue flower is a type of wild Borage. I recognised it and googled it for you. Be careful of the Dogs though if they chew the leaves it can be poisonous. It’s amazing how many wild flowers can be harmful either to us humans or cats and dogs.
    Take care.

Hi Fiona. that’s good advice. I do have a few ‘non suit’ items… I must be honest though – the thought of going out for the day shopping fills me with dread!

I’ll see what I can do!

    All the best
