Well I hope you are all nearly done and dusted for Christmas.
QVC really does take the hassle out of Christmas shopping, but I still love to potter around the shops feeling Christmassy, getting little bits and bobs and meeting lots if friends for a Christmas coffee. Knowing I have the bulk of my presents already sorted out makes it so much more pleasurable. I’ve also have more time this year as for the first time in years my daughter hasn’t appeared in Panto. I think we have both missed it, although it does take over Christmas. We just thought with her now being a secondary school it was time to concentrate on school work.
Looking back over this year Dance has really featured quite heavily. One of my highlights was certainly meeting Flavia and Vincent. I’ve never been a ballroom dancer – it’s a totally different discipline to the dancing I used to do – but they are just incredible and I admire them so much. It was brilliant to be able to partner Vincent and we danced live on air! Thank goodness he didn’t try to lift me… I think I’d have flattened him!
Another highlight of course was my daughter winning the All England Dance finals (a snapshot from the event above), which was the culmination of two years’ hard work. A little bit of news hot off the press is that she has just qualified for the Dance World Cup competition which takes place next summer in Jersey, so watch this space!
My son doesn’t really like me talking about him too much now; at 15 he is at that age where I’m a total embarrassment and all hugs and kisses are definitely for indoors only.
However I have managed to sneakily film him playing saxophone at his school Christmas concert. I thought it was so lovely I just had to share it with you. He won’t be happy when he finds out!

Anyway, do have a super Christmas and I hope you enjoy it whatever you’ve chosen to do this year.
Take care and lots of festive hugs,
