Hello there and Happy New Year! Thanks as always for reading my blog and do feel free to post a comment below.
So, how was your Christmas and New Year and how are you feeling about 2014 so far?
My Christmas was wonderful, a houseful of family for 3 days and we all had a wonderful time eating, playing games and going for lovely walks in the sunny Christmas weather. It was wonderful being part of baby Ruby's first Christmas and one of the funniest things was when we all got dressed up in wigs and moustaches – the photo of my sister, brother-in-law and the girls looks like a throwback to the 70s!!
I was also working throughout Christmas and I joined Chloe on air for some dancing, have a look at this funny clip.
Then it was down to Cornwall for New Year, a really lovely, quiet New Year with my extended family. Going for walks, playing games, watching some New Year telly and eating scrummy home cooked meals. One of the days we decided to make bread and butter pudding with panettone and it was good, you can see me looking very proud of myself!
I am back in London now and had a busy start back at QVC. This weekend though I had the Saturday off and joined my friend and colleague Justine Balmer for a walk in the beautiful Surrey countryside. There has been so much rain lately, it was great to be able to take advantage of the sunshine and get out for some fresh air – followed by a wonderful pub lunch and topped off with cupcakes back at home. Yes, as you may have guessed, I am not doing a new year diet!! haha!
So, that's how my new year has started, and I get the sense of lots of changes and new opportunities this year, some of which have already begun. Change is scary, the unknown is scary but if we keep the faith, lets hope we can achieve our ambitions for the year.
Would love to know how you are and if you are making any changes this year, post me a comment below.
Much love and Happy New Year,
Craig xx

Fantastic, happy blog Craig! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Onwards & Upwards!
Bring on 2014 π xx
Happy New Year Mr Craig!!
I have a lovely Christmas just Mum and my other half. Nice quiet time but was good. The weather has been absolutely rubbish and a lot of damage to clear in the garden which hopefully I may be able to do this weekend.
Very excited to have tickets for the QVC beauty Bash on the 24th – how exciting – my friend Debs is coming and we are really looking forward to it – let’s hope we don’t get lost between the station and the venue!!!!!
I am hoping for a change of job this year although it needs to be the right one as, as you say, change isn’t easy at all the older you get so it does need to be the right move – the grass isn’t always greener!!!
Take care Mr Craig xxxxxx
Hi Craig, Happy Happy New Year, Great Blog as always and such great photos of your family, which shows how proud you are of them, Just be your usual, happy energetic thoughtful entertaining guy that you always are, and your dreams will be achieved Lynn xx
Hi Craig,
Your blog was great to read, as always. You’re such a warm, kind and fun person and your character shines through on air. Ruby looks so cute in her christmas dress and the family photo is a scream, definitely a throw back to the 70s. Your christmas and new year sound idyllic, especially as you went to cornwall too, I really love it there. Lots of happy memories of family holidays and then going back every few years to revisit that wonderful carefree feeling and experience the fantastic scenery.
Our christmas and new year was really lovely, lots of family, friends, food and fun. We played silly games and had lots of laughter; it made me realise just how fortunate we are to have such special people in our lives to share the special occasions with. One of the games that had us in stitches was Heads Up on the iPad; it’s sort of an updated version of charades with different topics to choose from and guess. The subject I chose was dances – okay so imagine you are sat on the sofa with a line of nine people standing in front of you doing a dance for you to guess what it is. (Copious amounts of Xmas spirit involved – of course, although I don’t drink) There’s no music and they can’t speak so it’s a scream, watching them trying to perform the dance, especially the irish dancing, gangnam style, break dancing and the Can Can. So funny! – guess you had to be there! But you must try it. π
Speaking of dancing, loving the one legged special from you and Chloe, it’s good to see another facet to her personality. You’re always good fun and it’s great to see other presenters being more themselves.
Well I did start a diet and I’ve lost 7lbs so far, just hope I can keep it up. I usually get fed up after about a month and eat whatever’s not moving! Let’s hope I do better this year.
As for your anticipated changes, you’re a lovely man – ‘diamond geezer’ my Dad would have said – you work hard and you’ve got a great vibrant personality and a fun spirit – so whatever the changes are, I’m sure they’ll be very positive for you. Good luck and very best wishes for a happy and healthy 2014. xxx
Hi Craig, Happy New Year! My Christmas and new year were very quiet. I only had Christmas day, boxing day, the 27th and new years day off. Really looking to my annual leave next week. This year has been ok so far. I have started to donate blood again and I have signed up to be a Volunteer, scary but am looking forward to it. On a routine visit to my GP I was informed that I am overweight which came as a huge shock so have started to watch even more closely what I eat and will step up the exercise. I am thinking about growing my own fruit and veg as well. Looks like I’m going to be quite busy this year. Take care Craig, always love seeing on the tv and reading your blogs. Lotsa love. xxxxxxx
Hi Craig
As always your blog made smile the whole way through who needs sunshine when you are around?
My Christmas was great with a house full for the duration and a very quiet New Year as annoyingly have been struck down with the dreaded flu and now a chest infection.
Excitingly have got a ticket for the beauty bash but unfortunately my daughter is not able to come so I am trying to build up the courage to come alone.
Anyway I send my very best wishes for a happy and healthy 2014. xxxx
