Let The Sun Shine!

For once in our lives, last weekend we had no plans and so when we heard the weather was going to be great, we booked ourselves into a campsite not too far away and took off for a mini adventure with the children! How right the weather forecast was, it was absolutely delightful!

We arrived on the Saturday morning, pitched the tent and spent the weekend climbing, walking, eating sausages (in the rush, both Brian and I did food shopping so we ended up with a million!) cooked on our one ring gas cooker and had a ball!

We climbed trees, collected wood (of course we were armed with an axe for chopping) and had some excellent outdoors fun … NO SCREENS!

Recently I taught the children a game we used to love in school called 40:40. They said they play it too but we quickly realised that the rules have changed slightly over the years. I decided their version was a bit luke warm and our ‘older’ version was way more exciting.

After one game they agreed and so have now renamed it ‘Ancient 40:40’ – the cheek! So we played Ancient 40:40, badminton and Velcro hand tennis in between trips to the zip wire etc.

So a week later, with a few rainy patches, the weather so far seems to be holding up – let’s hope the headline I read saying that we would have it for three months was correct!

I did catch the sun whilst camping, but I’ve also been topping up with Elemis’ fantastic Total Glow Body Lotion and Facial Moisturiser – they are soooo brilliant at giving a great tan. So for those of you who have been asking, it’s here!

Much love

Pipa x
