Leaving the winter blues behind…

So the season has most certainly changed and with that, we’ve been enjoying the glorious weather, the garden, the countryside and everything else that is possible when the weather is on our side! I am finally recovering after last weekend’s crazy activities …. An 11 mile bike ride followed by an eight mile hill walk in less than 24 hours and then jumped on two horses the next day and twisted my back but all that ludicrous behaviour aside, it’s been fantastic to finally see the end of the cold and gloomy winter weather!

Usually my gardening jobs hang around down the bottom of the to do list however with all this sunshine, I made sure I planted all my giant strawberry plants in the fabulous tower planter from Plants2Gardens and I’ve been Flower Powering them diligently, hopeful for a bumper crop this season! I find home grown produce always tastes better so I shall report back later in the summer and let you know how I get on with these. By the way, if you’re in need of gloves, these won’t be on air but they are on our website… fabulous Orla Kiely potting gloves!!

Talking of gloves, I don’t think these are in stock at the moment but hopefully they will return, I’ve loved the new pet grooming gloves we’ve had, they are for dogs and horses and I can tell you they are amazing on both! Beth has LOVED them! This is the time of year when they all shed their winter coats and you might think its gimmicky but honesty they are soooooo much more effective than a typical brush. I took some video to show you how amazing they are on Beth’s friend Annie as she has white hair so it’s really easy to see how much comes off. She’s got quite a thick coat and loves it when I stroke her with the gloves on as it comes off her so readily. Happy ponies and happy dogs too, they all love it… and the attention that comes with it!!

The gloves have become such hot property on the yard where I keep her that I had to get more for the others as mine kept going walkies!!

So Beth’s doing great, although she has the summer off as has an injury in her front hooves, so it’s lots of cuddles for her in the field (which I love anyway!!) which back at the ranch (as they say), leaves Sherbert and Mr Moonface (who by the way became an uncle last week!!). Some of you have been asking for some updated pics of him so here you go… hasn’t he grown? He’s absolutely brilliant fun and has been loving the warm nights although the hot days aren’t so much fun for him with all his fluffy fur! His favourite place is most definitely the shade when the temperatures soar although at the moment, it’s just perfect for him.

I hope you enjoyed the Get Gorgeous event over the weekend, I thought the Benefit Today’s Special Value was ridiculously fabulous value and now it means we all have fabulous lashes ready to smile at the camera for the big wedding day this weekend ….I can’t wait to see the dress!!!!

Have a lovely week

Much love

Pipa x

Hi Jillian, I am terribly sorry if I missed your question somewhere!! Unfortunately they weren’t QVC shoes and I am sure you can understand that I can’t promote another shop here on my QVC blog. If you were to do social media I would be able to tell you, sorry 🙁 Pipa x

Hi Pips, I was very sorry to hear the sad news of the loss of a beloved friend of the four legged variety. It does get better and the wonderful memories are cherished even more. On a lighter note I noticed new bling on your left hand, Very sparkly indeed!
