Last of the summer wine…

7

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world, I’ve had simply the best summer. The combo of great friends, family and holidays, I simply couldn’t ask for more. I’m writing this on the balcony of a friend’s villa and I couldn’t be more content. There’s been boats, villas and dinner parties galore with all of the people I love, not sure I can top it. So if you’re wondering how 40 feels, it’s simply amazing in my opinion, so far so fabulous!

They say life begins at 40 but I don’t think that’s accurate, you just enter a new era with a bang because of all the hype and everything else stays the same as it was when you were 39. It’s just a number right? A number that begins with a four as opposed to a two or a three and I’m absolutely fine with that, in fact bring on the rest of the 40’s!

Thank you to everyone who played a role in my birthday celebrations, no matter how small or large, it’s been sensational. So what now? Well, my plan is to top it, make the 40’s bigger and better than the 30’s. That means more fun, more laughter, more love, more experiences, more good life in general, whilst maintaining health, happiness, friendships, love and most of all being kind; I’m going to strive to be the best me and to have the best life I can possibly have.

Ultimately taking care of yourself and taking care of your people – that’s what I plan to do.

Life is what you make it and it’s all about the people that you’re surrounded by, they shape you, inspire you and help you to grow towards the person you want to be. I’m eternally grateful that I have wonderful people around me at home, at work and friendships that will never die. Whilst we can’t chose our family (and if I could, I’d chose mine) we can chose our friends and I was always told that friends are the family you chose for yourself; I feel that I’ve gravitated towards some of life’s absolute diamonds, for this I’m eternally grateful.

The first forty years of my life have taught me so much but hopefully that continues, I want to learn and grow. They say you learn something new every day, and I really think I have and hopefully that will continue.

Right, enough of me basking in the summer fun and memories and being all sentimental, I promise I won’t mention my 40th again because you want to know what’s happening at the Q right? Well plenty! It’s really ramping up as we head towards Christmas. There’s so many new brands, personalities, celebrities that are joining us, we’re going to have more live hours than ever before across the QVC channels.

I’m loving our fashion and accessories at the moment, the brands rocking for me are DuJour clothes, Ghost, Phase Eight, Moda in Pelle footwear and Pia Rossini. Whilst I love the summer months, my favourite time to dress is in the autumn; little boots, scarfs, jackets and hats rule my world. This is what I’ve just purchased…

This DuJour animal printed bomber rocks, it feels like a sweatshirt but has a fashion bomber vibe. It’s kind of athleisure meets animal catwalk, I love it.

Moda in Pelle, literally anything you can lap up from this footwear brand you should. So premium and trendy it hurts! Hurts in a good way because everything they create is trendy fashionable and high end, possible my favourite footwear brand at the Q (now that’s a monster shout!)

And a big shout to Helene Berman who’s killing it in the outerwear department. If I’m pushed to pick one, this wool blend coat is the bomb, loving it!

We’ve got one foot firmly in autumn/winter right now, the heating is getting cranked up indoors so don’t let your skin suffer. I’ve just ordered Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial in preparation but more than ever get that skincare routine nailed down. As all the skin experts tell us it all starts with great cleansing. We’ve heard about double cleansing but take it to the next level with the Magnitone Bare Faced 2 which has 3D Vibra Sonic cleaning power.

Not only will it deep clean way beyond manual cleansing but it stimulates with a micro-circulation current – basically a cleanse like no other and a massage at the same time! This is where great skin starts, nail the cleansing step and it makes way for other skincare products to work even better. I’ve seen such a difference, my skin feels buffed almost, there’s a massage mode too which brings a fresh invigorated feel. Using twice daily takes you to the next step, especially for make up where it removes every scrap, and you still get to use your favourite cleanser with it.

Look out for it on the 10th October, there’s a cracking deal coming up. Combine great skincare products with technology and supplements and you’ll experience the best skin you can achieve. Don’t take my word for it, try it with our 30 days money back guarantee!

Can’t wait to hear what you think about it.

Also a heads up if you love your luxury indulgent bath and shower products – don’t miss this Sunday’s Today’s Special Value offer from Molton Brown. It’s the Luxurious Six Piece Bath & Body Collection featuring three body washes, a hand wash, body lotion and a bauble, amazing value for one day only while stocks last – and good news it’s available to buy now!!

Stay well and healthy, until next time xxx

Best,

Chloe
