So as the weather changes and the blackberries are ripening around us (they are sooo delicious this year!!) I’m feeling that lovely autumnal sense of heading toward hibernation. Early nights curled up on the sofa, dog walks through the falling leaves and I’m even relishing the onset of some rain – I know crazy but true!
This time last year I remember it absolutely bucketed down as we went to BBC Radio 2’s party in the park and hunkered down underneath our ponchos and umbrellas, defiantly staying until the end in order to see Take That when so many others gave up and started to head home. This year however was a totally different story, again I went with my daughter Beely and my brother Hamish and together with my best friend from school and her daughter, we basked in the sunshine and danced to the delights of Lenny Kravitz, Manic Street Preachers, and Kylie, (who brought on Jason Donovan and Rick Astley) – it was a total blast from the past with loads of 80s hits to sing along to, I could barely talk by the end of it! I posted a snippet of each act on my Instagram stories so hopefully, if you didn’t watch it on TV or listen on the radio, you caught a little bit of the fun we enjoyed.
But of course with the changing weather comes a change of wardrobe and I’ve got some great coats from the QVC closet that I will share with you next time however in this shot I’m wearing the gorgeous Joe Browns “Rockstar” leather jacket that particularly caught my eye! The necklace is one of my favourites from the Alex and Ani collection that we will be launching on Monday 24th September at 8pm.
We’ve got lots of gorgeous jewellery to take you into the season of sparkle and of course in perfect time, Swarovski have joined with us and I’ve been wearing one of their beautiful watches for a couple of weeks now which has caught your eye. …we are so very lucky working at QVC and getting the chance to wear so many beautiful things.
I’m not the only lucky one though, my daughter gets the odd treat too as I was given some D is for Diamond pieces to choose from and couldn’t resist the mother and daughter jigsaw necklaces, they are sooo sentimental and whilst I might like to think of myself as a bit of a rock star (not quite but you know what I mean) I’m actually a totally gushy mummy too!!
Wanting to share the love though, I thought it was about time we had a little give away so we have bundled together some D is for Diamond pieces for you worth around £100, if you could answer the following question in the comments box below…
Who did the Beatles sing about being in the Sky with Diamonds?
A – Lucy
B – Lottie
C – Lorraine
I know, it’s a tough one!
The closing date is next Wednesday 26th September at midday, see full terms here
Take care and I’ll see you soon
Much love as always
