Olley and I have enjoyed some wonderful holidays in the UK this summer, travelling to Wales, Scotland and Cornwall in our motorhome. We’ve also been pretty lucky with the weather while we’ve been away. With so many beautiful places to explore in our own country, who needs to travel abroad?!
Having said that, as autumn sets in and I’m already suffering from my first chesty cold of the season, I’ve sneakily managed to snatch a few days in the warmth of the Mediterranean sunshine in Greece. The days are shorter and the evenings cooler compared to the summer months, but the sky is blue, and the sea flat, calm and beautifully warm, with the midday sun hot on our backs.
With the clocks changing next weekend, it’s a lovely way to prolong summer. I feel very lucky! I’ve enjoyed a few days of doing very little to help get over my cold, but finally on the day before I return home, I’ve felt energetic enough to have a swim in the crystal clear water.
There are many reasons to visit Greece, from the numerous islands and friendly local people, to the delicious yogurt and honey! You might not expect me to list skincare products among the reasons, but I’m really pleased to tell you that a wonderful Greek beauty brand has joined QVC and will be launching a tempting Today’s Special Value this week.
Hailing from the island of Naxos, Korres is renowned for combining ancient recipes with botanical extracts such as pomegranate and rose oil, to create pampering formulas that are a true pleasure to use. There are ten different natural fragrances included in this 12-piece collection of travel-sized body butters, plus a large size of a gorgeous Violet fragranced body butter and a shower gel.
The luxuriously moisturising collection is perfect to give as one generous gift or several smaller treats, or to simply to keep all for yourself as a chance to get to know the range! We’ll have our first opportunity to see it during the pre-launch of the Today’s Special Value at 9pm today, and we will be enjoying hour long shows featuring lots of new Korres products at 1pm and 7pm on Wednesday.
If you like the idea of thoughtful skincare remedies that are ‘inspired by tradition, powered by nature, and perfected by science’ as founder George Korres describes his range, QVC is the place to find it!
In the meantime, I will tear myself away from George Korres’s stunning homeland of blue skies and the warm Ionian Sea, and return to QVC to join Simon Biagi on the Wednesday’s Morning Show featuring – you guessed it – the Korres TSV! Hope to see you then…
