Healthy heart, healthy brain, healthy us!

As you already know, my wife has had a health food shop for many years, and we are constantly talking to each other about the new products and innovations that help keep us, and her customers, healthy.

Perhaps the most important and effective new product was introduced to me, not by my wife, but by QVC – and it’s fish oil!

When I was a kid, there was cod liver oil… it tasted awful and as the liver is the detox organ in the fish, it quite often is a concentrated source of pollutants increasingly found in our seas.

Then we were told to eat at least two portions of oily fish a week! Well, have you seen the price of salmon and how hard it is to make the kids smile when I say ‘it’s fish for dinner’?

Then there was krill oil, the latest and best – but I wondered what all whales were going to feed on.

Anyway, the point I’m trying to make is that there has, for generations, been a constant drive to include fish oil in our diets, but why?

The long-living healthy eskimos might have had something to do with it, but scientists almost universally agree on the benefits, and fish oil is one of the most researched of all the supplements you can take.

Fish oil is high in omega 3 fatty acids, which contribute to normal healthy brain function – my son certainly got his daily dose in the run up to his GCSEs. These omega 3 fatty acids also contribute to normal healthy heart function, which is why both my wife and I always take our dose every day. They also contribute to the maintenance of normal healthy vision, and so the whole family never miss out. Rich levels of omega 3 contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels, and these are just some of the well-established benefits.

The problem though with fish oil, burp, is just that!

Even if you make it taste of lemon or orange, it has a habit of repeating on you… and that’s not nice! It’s one of the few supplements that my wife’s customers repeatedly (pardon the pun) tell her,’I can’t take it’ or ‘I hate the after-taste’. However, all that changed, and I mean really changed, when I met Marcus Mollinga and Jack Morrison, the founders of the company who reinvented the fish oil wheel.

What they managed to do was wrap the active ingredients at the nano level, rather than in big gelatin capsules, and they made it possible to make supplements that are enjoyable to take, and utilise 100% natural ingredients.

They called it Zooki and it truly tastes sensational. Zooki fish oil is pharmaceutical grade fish oil from Norway, molecularly distilled to remove contaminants such as mercury. It is wrapped in micelles, preparing it for absorption in the gastrointestinal tract.

I was given some by the boys to try, and when I took it home my wife inspected the levels, ingredients and concentration and gave it her approval. My kids were roped in to see if it passed the taste test and boy did it pass! After the first taste my daughter was the one who fetched it from the fridge every morning calling it ‘yummy’. When I asked my son if it was alright for a fish oil (he has tried many) he said, ‘Dad, it’s the only fish oil’.

That was the original peach-mango flavour, and we have consumed several bottles and recommended it to dozens of people and I was always keen that it should be a Todays Special Value, as I honestly believe so many people will love it and benefit from taking it. So, I was delighted to hear that it will be a Today’s Special Value offer on Friday 6th July and the special news is that there are new flavours; Omega Zooki Lime or Omega Zooki Tropical or Omega Zooki Red Apple, and the package comes with five trial vitamin C sachets too!

Vitamin C is a fabulous vitamin, which I take every day, that can contribute to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin. It’s an important one to consider if you want to support the health of your skin.

This is a way you can care for your skin from within, rather than just relying on things you apply to the outside of the skin. Vitamin C also contributes to the normal function of the immune system and supports normal psychological function, normal functioning of the nervous system and supports normal energy yielding metabolism.

Vitamin C contributes to a reduction in tiredness and fatigue and is therefore particularly relevant for those people who want to help reduce general tiredness and fatigue. Zooki Vitamin C is wrapped in ‘liposomes’ – they carry the vitamin C through your digestive system and deliver the vitamin C directly into your cells.

Zooki vitamin C offers a potent dose of liposomal vitamin C in a smooth, sweet liquid that can be enjoyed straight from the sachet when you need it most.

When I have spoken to various specialists in the field of nutrition or healthcare, I so very often hear the recommendation of taking a fish oil supplement. But not all fish oils are born equal!

Your Zooki is an absolutely gorgeous tasting and very high quality supplement. I have not detected a single bit of fishy taste or any nasty fishy after-burps and I have two taste discerning youngsters in the family who think it is the absolute business! Of course there are no large capsules, but it tastes so good you can pour it on your cereal, porridge or add it to your smoothie to make it taste more yummy!

The patented nano-encapsulation technology allows Zooki to be sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free and soy-free and the ingredients are 100% natural.

I know many of the QVC staff have been converted to Zooki since its introduction and it gets very high praise from QVC customers who have bought it previously.

It is THE fish oil for everyone, even if you hate fish and I thoroughly recommend watching QVC on Friday 6th July. We have the first Zooki Today’s Special Value and it’s at a great price.

You get one of the Omega Zooki Peach Mango (90 servings) and your choice of either:

Omega Zooki Lime or Omega Zooki Tropical or Omega Zooki Red Apple (each with 45 servings) and with every option you get five sachets of Zooki Vitamin C. That’s a 135 day bundle!

Of the new flavours my favourite is the red apple and my daughter loves the lime, but our overall favourite is the original peach and mango. It’s a really high-class problem to have deciding which of fabulous flavours is a favourite.

Join us on Friday… it’s a no brainer!
