As you know I love my outdoors and am always in the garden planting something or harvesting another. I am really looking forward to gearing up for the forthcoming spring and have vowed that this year I AM going to water and feed, on a regular basis, all the lovely new plants that I have planted and that I am about to plant.
Having talked, many times, to the experts on shows I realise the importance of a high potash feed for fruiting and flowering plants and always use Richard Jackson’s Flower Power. It’s the 10th anniversary of Flower Power launching on QVC and to celebrate this, and the fact that it’s become the gold medal winning secret of success for many home gardeners and professionals, we’re launching a limited edition 10th anniversary gold tub for a Today’s Special Value on Sunday 19th February. It contains 2.4kg of Flower Power, and at under £25 it is about half the price of the equivalent weight in our standard 750g packs.
I have the weekend off so won’t be able to join in all the fun but I don’t want anyone to miss the opportunity of really getting the green envy of the entire neighbourhood, with their fabulous displays this summer. RJ’s Flower Power is the best and I have had amazing results with it since I started. The picture shows my son admiring his bumper chilli crop when he was only six and half.
I’m not the only one who loves Flower Power as it is the choice of feed for serious growers who want to win prizes. One picture shows just some of the gold medals won for Flower Power fed fuchsias in the past few years. Another shows the Taylor’s clematis gold medal winning stand at Chelsea 2106, all fed with Flower Power. The third shows a bed of geraniums, part of a Britain in Bloom Gold medal winning display in 2016 for Barwick Village in Yorkshire, again all their annual bedding was fed with Flower Power. It can do that for your growing plants, your fruiting plants (be they indoor or outdoor) and I even use it on my potted box and bay trees.
I will be trying out RJ’s natural plant food this year in my herbaceous border and as always will follow up with some Slug and Snail Control which is free from the dreaded metaldehyde that seems to be causing so many problems for water courses. I will also be depending on his weed killer which uses an extract of geranium to knock the weeds out super quick. This always impresses me as you can virtually watch the weeds die and it seems to help prevent them growing back.
I’ll be planting a new fruit tree, to replace one that got eaten by deer, and a very special Portuguese laurel. They will both get a dressing of biochar and some root booster with mycorrhizal fungi to get them off to a good start.
Sunday 19th February is the day to join the team at QVC to stock up on all the gardening goodies so when the weather finally breaks you will be ready to grow some of the finest looking plants of your life.
That’s a green thumbs up!
