Red Kite

K by Kelly Hoppen and British wildlife snaps

I hope all’s well with you all, as always. As regular readers know, I always try to keep my blogs upbeat and positive, but a lot has happened in the world since my last blog on Friday and I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say that our thoughts are with all those affected by the tragic events in Paris. Unfortunately, there is always something tragic happening somewhere in the world at any one time but as the proud Parisians are showing us, for everyones sake, life just has to go on.

On a brighter note – I hope your Christmas shopping plans are coming along nicely – I’m sure Elemis fans ticked off a few items from their wish lists last Sunday! The gifting ideas continue right up to our last Christmas shipping day.

A reminder following on from last week’s blog that I’m launching a new designer jewellery range this Thursday at midday – the K by Kelly Hoppen jewellery collection – our world-renowned interiors expert who has a natural eye for combinations that work. This, her first ever jewellery collection, created especially for QVC, includes shimmering sterling silver and gold-plated pieces designed for layering. The K by Kelly Hoppen Collection pulls together three ranges or looks that Kelly calls ‘Capri’, ‘Paris’ and ‘Miami’ and these ranges have their own distinct character, inspired by these exotic locations.

Prices for the ‘Capri’ range start from as little as £16.36 and prices for the bolder ‘Miami’ looks go up to around £200.  One that caught my eye and resonated with me personally is the Signature Message Pendant. This sterling silver pendant necklace features a gold vermeil option as well and is engraved with the powerful message of “Learn from the past, Live in the now, Visualise the future”. Wise words indeed. I feel this message is surely relevant to so many of us as we pass through the varied stages of our lives and of course it’s a stylish piece to wear. It has a long 70cm (27.6”) chain with a 3.5mm (1.4” extender) and lobster claw clasp.

As well as the signature message pendant, this piece from the show also caught my eye – the Gemstone necklace in vermeil sterling silver. If you are unable to watch us live, why not set your recorder or browse the whole range online now?

Here’s a Dale QVC Christmas Tip: As with most premiere shows, we don’t usually carry as much stock as can be found in subsequent shows, so if you do spot something that you fancy for yourself or a loved one, it’s best not to delay ordering too long. Remember you still get your usual 30 day Money Back Guarantee which we’ve extended to the 25th January for gifts ! Just incase you picked the wrong piece.

Back at home, Toby and Ellie are doing fine but are really missing Ali and Jack who are away at their respective universities. The house is so much quieter without them, but they have popped back a couple of times since September for a few home comforts and dog hugs!

Ellie and Toby

I promised I would bore you with some more wildlife shots I’ve taken, so I didn’t want to disappoint! Here are a couple of Reds for you: a rutting Red Stag and a soaring Red Kite. #LoveBritishWildlife

Till next time stay sparkling and wild !

Dale x

Hi dale, fab pics what camera did you use.

Hi Janet I was using a Canon 7d mk2 the autofocus is incredible – with a Canon 100-400mm IS II +1.4 extender. We obviously compress the pics for the blogs, the hi res version shows the details beautifully.
The camera was an early combined Christmas/Birthday treat 😉 Dale x
