Hello! Apologies for the radio silence! As you’re probably aware it’s been the school holidays and so I took some time off to spend with the family.
We borrowed Scott’s dad’s campervan and took it to Île de Ré in France. It was brilliant, the kids loved it and we’re making plans to do it again next year, but maybe with both sets of grandparents this time.
The campsites over there are really well set up. The pools were fantastic, they had boats, and pony rides and go-carting. Lots of lovely family fun, although my legs took a battering from the spikes on the bike pedals, and Scott ran over my feet a couple of times… and don’t get me started on how much my derriere hurt with all the bike riding! OUCH!
I definitely wish I’d taken the SBC Intensive Arnica Gel with me to ease my aches and pains!
The holiday sunshine has definitely left my lips dry, and as you know I like to wear a bold colour on my lips on air, but when your lips are dry this is pretty tricky as it looks messy. I am head over heels for this new lip balm from Gatineau. Even though it looks bold, it actually gives you a soft wash of colour that you can build up as you chose. It feels amazing when you pop it on and your lips feel hydrated and softened. It also contains SPF 15 to protect from pollution and UV damage. It’s packed with vitamin E, beeswax and lots of other moisturising ingredients, and it’s fantastic as a primer as well so that any colour you chose just slides on.
It’s available in the Today’s Special Value on Sunday 9th September… look out for it!
Finally the extensions are in! I’ve wanted to try them for ages! I really like them, they feel very heavy, but my hair has been very brittle lately and I’ve had lots of breakage so I like the fullness they give.
If you’re also suffering from breakage then a fantastic shampoo to try is Taya Inner Core Anti-breakage Shampoo. It helps to reduce breakage by up to 60% after the first wash, which is amazing! We currently have it as a set with the Anti-breakage Conditioner. The ingredients are sourced from the Amazon rainforest, where apparently the tribes’ women’s hair is so strong they use it to make baskets! All the botanical ingredients are sourced through environmentally-sustainable programs and are free of harsh chemicals and sulphates, and contain no animal products, plus there’s no animal testing. They really are a lovely company, and I love that every purchase also benefits the communities living throughout the rainforest.
I’m also taking the Philip Kingsley Trichotherapy Supplements to help encourage new healthy re-growth. We have them as a duo set which gives you 90 days supply. These come with an extended money back guarantee for the 90 days too! You just take two tablets a day, I’m taking mine with breakfast, easy! And hopefully I’ll start seeing an improvement soon, and more importantly reduced hair loss.
Plus, EEK! I’ve also treated myself to the Dyson Hairdryer. I’ve gone for the fuchsia and platinum with the gorgeous silver case and accessories. This will be so much better for my hair and Izzy’s as it has an intelligent heat control system so it will never exceed a maximum temperature of 145C, much better for our hair. It also dries your hair quickly with the high velocity air flow, and it’s light weight and so much quieter than my existing one! I do love it. Josh has done a little video to show the sound difference.
And don’t forget that we are celebrating 25 years of QVC by offering £10 off when you spend £100, £15 off when you spend £150 and £25 off when you spend £250 – all the T&Cs are on the QVC website.
