It should be me up there!

What with all the Oscar nominations and Golden Globes etc, I was reminded that I had appeared on film many years ago, albeit with my Dad as the film maker. I was on the Q at the weekend working with the lovely Katherine Higgins and as she was showing me the Honestech VHS to DVD 5.0 Deluxe Video Conversion Solution I was thinking of all the family Cine films that my brother recorded on his video camera so he could transfer them to VHS.

Well I thought it was time to create a digital copy. We have about three hours of VHS material but with a bit of messing around it was quite easy to convert. I thought I would share my screen debut. My Mum was an actress and my Dad had a secret creative streak (I think) hence the style. I was too young to remember the holiday but it looks like Leigh (my sister) and I were very happy. I love the sound of the Cine projector in the background and the slightly jerky movements!

Watching the rest of the footage really was great and some of it really brought back memories so perhaps I should post some more. Now I just need to work on my speech. ā€œ Iā€™d like to thank….ā€
