Tell us more about Lyla footwear

Lyla is a footwear brand exclusive to QVC offering fabulous quality and stylish pieces at great prices. The collection draws influences from fashion trends to create versatile, everyday pieces which compliment smart and casual outfits. I think it's really important that style and comfort go hand in hand and with Lyla footwear you don't have to compromise on either of these.

Black Lyla TSV bootWhat makes the TSV boots so special?

The riding boot and full length boot was a big story on the catwalks this year. This Lyla boot is fantastic if you're looking for a full-length leather knee boot at great value. It comes in four colours – black, chocolate brown, tan and mushroom (a key colour for winter fashion) and has an elastic insert near the top of the zip to give a bit more room for ladies with a fuller calf.

I work as a plus size model and have always found it really difficult to find full length boots that zip all the way up, but I was so pleased with this boot as it fits on my leg and I am able to wear it with a variety of styles.

What are your styling tips for wearing the boots?

Lyla casual and evening looksThese boots are extremely versatile and can be dressed up or down for day through to evening. I wear mine with jumper dresses and tunic dresses, with opaque tights as well as skirts in the week (see photo left). The tan colour looks great with indigo denim, matched with other tan accessories and the mushroom colour can be matched with other grey, taupe and silver tones in your wardrobe for a real on-trend colour scheme.

At the weekend I wear the boots with jeans or leggings tucked in but you can also wear them under a wider leg or bootcut trousers if you want to have a little bit of heel height from the wedge.

Are you looking forward to appearing on QVC?

I really enjoy coming into QVC to present the Lyla collection. I have worked as a model and stylist in the fashion industry for over eight years and it's great to work with a brand that looks at fashion trends and incorporates them into a collection of everyday styles and classic pieces that you can get lots of wear out of for many years.

It's also really great when QVC customers call or text us during the shows with their feedback which I can pass onto the buyers and suppliers. Lyla is an exclusive QVC brand so you won’t see it all over the high street.

What are the latest trends in footwear and what should we look out for?

We will continue to see lots of texture in footwear such as patent, reptile, suede and ordinary leather finishes. The wedge heel continues from spring/summer into designer winter collections and is a great way to wear a heel from day through to evening.

Bold colours, chunky heels and shoe boots continue to be a popular designer choice which makes it much easier for us girls to find stylish footwear without compromising on my favourite fashion necessity… comfort!
