I’m doing the Breast Cancer Care Marble Hill Park Pink Ribbonwalk

Toby takes a break from trainingHi all,

Just wanted to quickly blog about an event this Saturday (16th) that I'm taking part in for Breast Cancer Care.

I won't not be alone – I'll be walking with the QCrew! And weather permitting, Toby (he's my much blogged-about canine pal, for new readers).

I think there are around 15 of us in the QCrew including QVC guests, buyers, producers, schedulers and even senior managemen! So Toby should be on his best behaviour.

The walk is over 10 miles, although there is also a 20 mile walk for the fit ones! It starts and finishes at Marble Hill Park in Twickenham and it would be lovely to meet any of our blog readers who live locally and want to say 'Hi'!

Although it will be great fun, (whatever the weather throws our way), we're hoping to raise funds for QVC's main charity, BCC.

Everywhere we turn at the moment there's someone raising money for a deserving charity and I'm aware we all have to consider how much and to whom we give our donations – so if you would like to, or are able to give a small donation to QCrew's efforts for Breast Cancer Care – then here's the link to our JustGiving page, started by our own Natalie Gray.

Please don't think you have to compete with other donators, £1 would be greatly appreciated, as 'many a muckle maks a mickle'! I'm assured that's Scottish for 'look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves'!

Thanks for reading and wish us all a turned ankle-free walk !

Dale x

It’s a pleasure to sponsor you all Dale. You lot are great but you know I have my favourites! I’m glad I didn’t have to sponsor you by the minute though ….. it’s going to take you ages to finish with that lovely boy. Everyone’s gonna want a stroke ……..of Toby I mean!!!
Wish I could be there but it’s a bit too far for me. Hope the sun shines for you.

Just seen some great photos of you and Toby doing the walk, they are on the Woman and Home website. Toby looked as if he enjoyed all the attention. Looked as if you all had a good day.

Thanks Marian, it looked very threatening at the start but the sun got its act together and it turned out to be a wonderful day. You’re right about Toby he was very popular – a young lad came up to me and said where can I get one like him – He’s a real babe magnet! I couldn’t stop laughing, he couldn’t have been more than 10!
Thanks to all sponsors the Qcrew beat its target. More next blog . Dale x

I’ve just donated, better late than never! If only for the delight in seeing you wearing pink Dale lol! Not to mention your continued efforts to speak our north of the border lingo! Well done to all the team at QVC for taking part and doing their bit for a worthy cause.
