I hope all’s well…

What a fabulous couple of days we’ve had – mind you it wasn’t too warm for our Summer Food Fair last Saturday and we decided to shoot it in our lovely garden set.

My floor manager Ceri did offer me a warm fleece overcoat to wear but I decided it wouldn’t add to the summer theme and decided to go with a T-shirt beneath a summery shirt – big mistake! Half-way through the two hour show I had turned an interesting shade of blue and two of our wonderful guests decided I needed a hug to warm up!

Never mind, it was a great show and I thawed out eventually – while on the subject of food – I’m back on Wednesday with a two hour Andi Peters’ Food Fest at 6pm – my old mate Andi and I have a fabulous line up as usual including many of your favourite luxury food brands such as H Forman & Sons, Godminster Cheese, Gower Cottage Brownies, Toppings Pies, Althams Butchers, Joe & Seph’s and more! And we’re inside! Which is just as well given Andi’s usual choice of short-sleeved shirts.

I hope you can join Andi and I at 6pm and if you love artisan silver jewellery I’ll be on earlier that day at 3pm with Taxco Traditions Silver, a wonderful range of hand-crafted Mexican silver pieces brought to us by designer Dominique Dinouart.

Often we are looking at ways of enriching our garden, patio or balcony and one easy way is to install a water feature.

The sound of a water fountain is very therapeutic and we’ve long benefited at home from this courtesy of Bernini Fountains, who are masters at battery operated fountains and water features.

They’re very easy to set up and as they run on batteries you don’t need to go to the expense and effort of running a power cable to them or relying on the sun shining in the case of solar powered models and you don’t have to plumb them in, only ever needing occasional re-filling from a jug or watering can.

On Thursday 16th we have a wonderful Bernini Fountain Today’s Special Value featuring an aquatic theme.

As we love to do for our customers, we have a choice of artist-designed aquatic finials, specially designed for QVC UK customers.

We have the mermaid, Koi carp or sea horses available in a dark bronze finish (Black) or a bright chalky marble finish (White).

I was given the mermaid in White to style in my garden and I’ve created a simple short video for you. What you’ll notice in my video is that you can easily change the look of your fountain by removing the aquatic finial and choosing to opt for different water heads such as dancing water, spray or spider web etc.

The best feature of all for me is the introduction by Bernini of a new lithium ion battery system that charges quicker than previous designs (3-4 hours) and comes with a 3 year warranty!

There is a two hour run timer function available or you can simply switch on and off when you’re out in your garden etc.

The fountain comes with full easy to follow instructions and a charging unit for the battery.

We’ll obviously have a great price for you on the day and I hope you can join me in The Lunchtime Show for more from our lovely guest Lorna Ko.

Until next time stay well fed and watered!

I know it wasn’t funny, being so cold, but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me giggle! It was a very, very good show though, honestly. I suspect Andi will give you grief. Remind him he’s had his own temperature malfunctions in the past; licking a plasma screen on live tv springs to mind! Best wishes, SheMag
