Holiday fun and some great offers

Hi all, hope you are all having an amazing summer. I’ve been off for a couple of weeks on holiday with the family, but as usual the summer has gone so fast and I’m back before I know it.

I had the most incredible holiday as I was lucky enough to board a cruise from Southampton this summer, and spent two gorgeous weeks sailing around the Mediterranean.

The cruise was fabulous, with amazing service and food. Plus to have a balcony and look out at a different view every morning was just so lovely. I must admit it was a bonus not to have to fly this year, I felt like our holiday started as soon as we stepped on the ship and it was just so relaxing.

Not having to worry about luggage weight was another huge plus point. When I found out we could take 65kg per person I was over the moon, although I think I packed far too much – but at least I had lots of choice!

It also meant that I could take all my toiletries too. I think that’s the big down side to flying – you really have to be ruthless with which beauty products make the cut – but this time I took the lot including my current five cleansers! I love to mix and match my skincare, I always have and it really works for me. I don’t have sensitive skin and I think my skin behaves better when I chop and change a bit and keep it guessing.

So I packed my Elemis Cleansing Balm, Decleor Micellar Oil and Hydra Radiance Cleansing Mousse, plus Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish and the Philosophy Purity Face Wash. They all made it into my toiletries bag, in fact my hand luggage size case was mostly full of beauty products!

A huge proportion was taken up with Ultrasun products, including my all time favourite the supersize of the Glimmer SPF 20 and the Tinted Face SPF 30, which just gives you that little tint of confidence with all that facial protection – and if you are yet to go away on your hols and want to get a tan, I’d definitely use a tan accelerator.

This year, I tried the Elemis Tan Accelerator, which was quick and easy to use and enabled me to develop a great tan so much quicker than usual, I’d highly recommend it. It’s also fabulous to be able to pack all your shoes and sandals, it’s such a shame when you have to forsake the perfect shoes to an outfit because there’s just no more weight allowance left in your case!

Of course extra shoes means extra nail colours! I probably change my toe polish three times a week on holiday to match what I’m wearing because I just have more time to indulge. I really enjoy using my nail colour as part of my accessorising especially on those cruise formal nights, it great fun to have an excuse to dress up.

Now, the fun shouldn’t end just because the summer is coming to a close. If you enjoy using nail colour then look no further than our upcoming Today’s Special Value from Nails Inc.

Entitled ‘Too Cool to Give a Jewel’ is a sumptuous collection of superior shades, majestically created to match your mantra. The shades just sum up everything that is happening in this forthcoming fashion season as they are dripping in decadence and opulence, plus the collection includes the brand new Thirsty Nails, an ultra hydrating base coat.

The shades in this set are only available at QVC and I’ll be launching this elite collection. It’s at a special price for one day only, on Tuesday, but you can get in first!

There’s also an option to sign up for a second collection of different shades later in the year at the same incredible price!

Anything that keeps us in that holiday mood is fine by me!

Enjoy the rest of the summer!

    Hi jilly,
Gosh you all look stunning in the family photo! You look fab all the time but your holiday snaps are gorgeous. How do you change your nails three times a week though?! Just the one for me! Pleased you got a summer hol and are ready for autumn. X

Glad you enjoyed your cruise Jilly. My daughter and I enjoyed a cruise around the Norwegian Fjords in July and my daughter had upgraded us to a junior balcony suite, well worth the extra so I could watch the wonderful scenery float by. It was a place I had wanted to visit since I was at school and it was all and more I wished for. We sailed from our local port in Newcastle which was so easy and you are right about the lack of luggage restrictions and we also took so much more than we could ever use in one week but it was super not to have to pack and unpack because of the weight.

Thank you for your lovely comments. I too would love to cruise the Fjords and Alaska looks really appealing too. The key to a quick nail polish change are the Nails Inc remover pots. They are so quick and easy, no mess and safer to travel with too. Xx
