I’ve been watching our recent fashion shows with an even closer eye than usual, as I have a special weekend to look forward to and I’m hoping to find the perfect outfit.
On Saturday May the 6th, my little brother (well, I suppose I should say younger brother – he’s a good six foot and 52 years old…) is getting married!
This is his second marriage – he has three daughters and a son from his first, which sadly ended after rather more than his fair share of misfortune and unhappiness. But Jo has put the smile firmly back on his face and we’re delighted to welcome her and her two lovely daughters into our family.
Of course, a wedding calls for a special outfit so I’ve already started thinking about what to wear and I’ve been trying on a few ideas. Here are three photos of some options.
Outfit two: I love this Ronen Chen dress and will wear it lots in the summer but I think it’s a little too casual – for once I want to make an effort to dress up!
Outfit three: But I also like the idea of being a little more fashion forward than my family expect from me, having always been a sporty tomboy as I was growing up, so I’d like to surprise them with this jumpsuit. This particular print is now only available in a few sizes but lots of other styles are in stock.
There is plenty more new spring fashion coming up on QVC so no final decision yet – in fact I saw a Ronni Nicole dress on air the other day which I really like the look of. There’s also 158592 and 158590, which are both on last clicks price of around £30. Or there’s a strappy Kim and Co maxi that I could wear the MarlaWynne duster over – I rather like the idea of a floral print for a wedding party hopefully in a beautiful hotel garden, weather permitting.
I’m planning on wearing wedge sandals so that I don’t lose my heels in a soft lawn, but I’m still working on my jewellery and bag – I suppose I need to choose the dress first. With so much to choose from it’s a good job QVC has its 30 day money back guarantee!
I’d love to know what you think, and I’ll let you know when I finally decide – although it may not be until the last minute, as it might depend on whether the sun is shining. Fingers crossed for a gorgeous day!
