A quick Morning Style update!

Take 1

Hello again!

Just a quick note about today's Morning Style show – I hope you enjoyed it. We are settling into the new style of fashion show, more about putting a complete look together than focussing on just one piece at a time.

Many of you have emailed or tweeted to say how you like the way we are combining different brands within an outfit – indeed we have introduced some of you to designers you weren't aware were available on QVC.

In today's show we featured over forty different items of clothing or accessories! Of course, this means that there is much more information for me to deliver and for you to absorb so the format is a little different to what we are used to. Some of the details are only given on the bottom of the screen, and I don't read out all the item numbers. In the same way, I can't give you details of all the various features and measurements of the garments, or all the colour options if available. If I did, there would be no time for our guests to get a word in edgeways!

To compensate, we will try to give you access to the information you need in other ways – we know it's important if you are considering buying something.

Firstly, of course, our wonderful staff in our customer contact call centre are there to help you and have all the details you may need, such as fabric composition, washing instructions, measurements and the like. This is also available on our website but to make it easier for you, especially if you didn't catch the item number or make of something, this link will take you to everything that we have featured on the show.

You can also use this link if you missed all or part of the show, as we have also arranged for it to be available for you to view again.

I'd love to know whether you think the new style show will work for you – our aim is to help you find the way that QVC fashion can work for you- are we heading in the right direction to achieve that for you? Or do you have any fashion dilemmas that you'd like our help with? You can leave a comment here, or email the team on morningstyle@qvc.com. Next week we'll be looking at how to create different outfits using the same main garment, and also taking a look at the main trends featured on the fashion page on our website. You may have seen them on our Spring Catwalk show, and we plan to update  the styles now that spring is really on its way (fingers crossed!)

I do hope that you can join us at 10am next Wednesday, but if not, try to catch some of the show on the link above. See you then!

Take care

Kathy x

Hi Kathy, I like the idea of your show but sadly it clashes with my Pilates class on Wednesday mornings so I’m pleased to see that it will be available to watch if we miss it.

    Hi Kathy!
Another great show! I love the fashion magazine format which is so very helpful. I find it especially useful as I have a slight eye for fashion, I can see what works and what doesn’t – but I’m unable to analyse WHY! For instance Lulu in the QVC advert looks so very rock chick in that pink tweed jacket – on me I’m sure it would be totally mumsy… Why? What is it that Lulu does/puts together that makes her style so totally rock?
What I’d like to see in future programmes are pointers towards certain styles: classic, rock chick, hippie chic, ingenue, romantic, etc. What are the elements to get right with these looks?

Hi Kathy. Loved the show.I must say you are looking good today.I have been folloeing the 5-2 diet regime for a few weeks now and have lost a stone, you seem to be losing weight as well.I usually like to see what you are wearing as we are about the same size though you are taller than me,it helps me to judge.I look forward to seeing your shows over the coming weeks.Keep up the good work.

Hi Kathy, thank you for answering my email live on air during the morning style show.I love the Diane Gilman tsv jeans I bought in cobalt and green, but felt a bit nervous to wear them.So your advice on what to wear them with has given me the confidence to try them out this weekend.
I bought them when I saw you wearing them and you looked great. And you gave good advice during the presentation on size which is really helpful.
I really love the show – bit like a live fashion magazine, but for all age groups. Its such a good show because I buy things when I see them, without thinking what I already have to go with the item.
I think we need MORE Morning style as there is nothing on tv like it at the moment.

    Hello Kathy
I am enjoying your morning style programme and have picked up a
    few ideas.
I watched all of the Tiana B programmes (my favourite range) and
the prints were fabulous, my one disappointment was that there was not enough styles with sleeves! as an older woman my arms
need to be covered and although I understand we are now coming
into Spring/Summer I am sure I am not the only lady who need
sleeves. As a consequence I didn’t buy anything which I am cross
about as I had money to spend!
    Keep up the good work

    Hi Adrienne
i’m really pleased you like your coloured Diane Gilman jeans, and i think you’ll love wearing them when the sun comes out – somehow I find it easier to wear colour in the warmer weather. then all you need is a white or black top to go with them. Charlotte, our Morning Style stylist, would encourage you to wear contrasting coloured top – or a print that has the jeans colour in it. Just go for it!
I’m glad you enjoy the style of our new show – this week we are looking at dressing for your size and shape and the following show will concentrate on dressing for summer – let’s hope at least spring arrives before too long!
    Thanks for watching!
    Best wishes, Kathy x

    Hi Susan.
The orange top is from Annalee and Hope and the teal dress the sweater knit from Tiana B – both ranges that I find lots to like from. New blog about my weekend travels coming up very soon!

    Hi Sandra
That’s a fair comment – you’re right about many women wanting sleeves. That’s why Lesley Ebbetts designed her own “Withsleeves” range. I’ll mention it to Joanne from Tiana B and our fashion buying team. Hopefully on the next visit you’ll see something you like.
I’m glad you like our Morning Style show – we’ll be looking at dressing for your bodyshape and summer dressing over the next couple of weeks, so hopefully some more ideas for you!
    Best wishes

    Hello Kathryn
I’m glad you find the ideas we bring you on Morning Style useful. I don’t usually present Fashion on a Friday as I tend to do the earlier shows – and of course our other presenters enjoy bringing you fashion hours as well. Having said that, I will be with you at 5pm on Good Friday with our George Simonton collection – hope to see you there!!
    Best wishes

    Hi Kathy,
I like your new morning show on fashion and watched it using your link. I particularly like that colourful outfit last week with the Fenn Wright Manson oversized jumper and the multi-coloured striped Birkenstocks. I cannot remember though what the underneath top was. It will be helpful if when one clicks at pieces featured on your show to also show pieces that were part of the ensemble. This would assist those like me who prefer to be shown what goes with what. Thanks.
