Hello! So, this blog is being written by a slightly older Craig, it was my birthday on the weekend and I turned 45! Thank you SOOO much for your messages on my blog, twitter, facebook and instagram – very much appreciated.
It was a magical weekend so here’s what happened in pictures:
A couple of days before my birthday, lovely Rachel our make-up artist at QVC made me this HUGE birthday cake, Victoria sponge with jam and fresh cream, it was sooo delicious!
Then on the day itself I had morning coffee on a lovely sunny balcony, after a few days of grey and rain it had brightened up to a lovely sunny day, what a treat!
I then picked my wonderful sister up from Paddington station and we went for lunch and hung out in the sunshine.
And then in the evening Paul and I went for dinner at a place I had wanted to go to for years called Brasserie Zedel near Piccadilly Circus, what an amazing experience – great food, service and the most buzzing atmosphere I think I have ever experienced in a restaurant in London!
Then on the Saturday after a day of just chilling out with my sister it was time for some champagne at home and opening pressies.
Then onto the riverfront bar on the Southbank to meet friends and where my friend Alexa handed me another pressie – she baked me a box of her famous Greek shortbread biscuits. I had never tried them before and they are scrummy!
And then it was on to the Udderbelly Festival on the Southbank where we watched a fantastic show called ‘Briefs’ – a mixture of entertainment, acrobatics and circus – just brilliant! You can see Miceal in the photos who joined me for the night and new QVC style presenter, Alex Kramer who is an old friend of mine and will be on your telly soon.
It was such a fun night and the birthday drinks were flowing so as you can imagine Sunday was quite a subdued day to recover.
SO, there we have it, another year older and I have to say I feel so blessed and lucky every day I am alive and always try to appreciate my health, my family, my friends and my amazing job at QVC.
Thanks again for your birthday wishes and sending you a big, big hug
