Happy Christmas to all my readers

Dale at ChristmasDear Followers of the BOTF,

As this is my last blog of 2011 – I just wanted to end the year with a short but heartfelt blog to simply say a huge 'Thank you' to all of you that have taken the time to read my ramblings and also to those that make comments thereafter.

I would never want anyone to feel obliged to leave a comment, but reading them is always a pleasure and makes my efforts, simple though they may be – worth doing.

There are a couple of our flock who have made the BOTF something of a temple to the 'Carry On' or seaside postcard sense of humour that simply puts a smile on our faces – my thanks to Gail and Marian and all the wonderful contributors over the last 12 months.

I truly hope that you can all enjoy your Christmas break and any stresses that are a part of our modern life, be they of a work or personal nature, take a very long break too!

I plan to keep blogging regularly and will love it if you can join me through the Olympic year at QVC.

Lastly, I have received an overwhelming amount of Christmas cards and birthday cards (well I did mention my birthday was on Christmas Day about 500 times!) some though, have not included your addresses and I am therefore unable to reply as I like to do with a signed photo – these have proven very popular as beer mats, drinks coasters and Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators say if you write 'I live here' on them and stick on your front door – they act as a superb cold caller deterrent! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness all the same.

Anyway, I may not be blogging again in 2011 but sadly for you lot I'll be presenting everyday from the 28th December through to the 1st of January – if you're watching come through as a caller or text to keep me company!

Happy Christmas, much love and warm season's greetings,
from the Old Silver Fox xxx

    Dear Dale,
Thank you, for through your blog I have been reminded that after all I have been through, and all that I will continue to go through, I have still managed to retain my sense of humour.
Have a lovely Christmas and Birthday and a big thank you for putting up with us. xx

LOL Dale – you do have the knack of making me laugh! Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday on the 25th! I share my birthday with you! Celebrating 52 this year (or is it 25 – I forget, lol!) and being a blonde, have not become a Silver Foxette yet! I am off to hospital for a minor operation on the 28th so also wish you a very Happy New Year! Jill (a.k.a. the Other Christmas Baby) in Peterborough x

You nearly got a ’10’ for this blog Daleo, but seeing as you mentioned the Olympics, I’m afraid it’s a ‘9’ from Ma!
I have thoroughly enjoyed all your blogs since I joined the BOTF clan earlier this year. Thank YOU for taking the time to write them and especially for all your replies to our comments daft and serious (ok I know nearly all mine have been the former)!! Thanks ever so for the special mention and it truly makes me happy to know you enjoy the playful banter.
I’ve finished work today until 9 Jan. Believe me, I’ve earned it! My stresses are definitely of a ‘work’ nature and never more so than this year. The fun I’ve had on your blog has been a welcome relief.
Don’t know how I’ve managed to miss all 500 of your birthday mentions but I had no idea! Born on Christmas Day eh! It figures cos you’re a real STAR. I’ve posted a card today and asked you to send me one of those signed photos. What a lovely surprise when I got home and found you’d already sent me one with a lovely crimbo card. xx Feel free to send me another though cos I reckon I can flog em on ebay ……just joking gorgeous!!!! xxxxxxxx
Gail sweetie, you’ve clearly had a lot to contend with. I so admire people like you who ‘carry on’ (no pun intended!!) regardless. You’re another STAR and it’s been great getting to know you this year. Here’s to many more. xxxxxxxxxxx
Right then, I’m off to open a bottle or three. Christmas really does start NOW!! Cheers everyone …… or should that be BOTTOMS UP!!!!!!!!!! Never off duty!! xxxxxxxxx

Can’t believe it’s nearly all over again Dale. Just tried phoning through on the Diamonique show but no luck. Shame that, I was going to sing (in Marilyn Monroe to President Kennedy breathy style)
Hhhhhhhhappy New Year ………. to you
Hhhhhhhhappy New Year ………. to you
Hhhhhhhhappy New Year ……….. Mr Silver Fox
Hhhhhhhhappy New Year ………. to you!
Ah well, I hope you got to read my text cos it took me ages to type it!
Happy New Year Gail and all The Fox fans.

GALILEO, who the heck is GALILEO? Dale, I tuned in to watch QVC New Years Day and there you were. I text in to wish you and everyone at QVC a Happy New Year and was very excited when you read it out, but instead of Gaileo at the end you said GALILEO. Well, I laughed so much and never stopped laughing, on and off, for hours. I’ve been called many things but never GALILEO; how funny was that!! Then your Zumba moves with Sally at the end were hilarious. Me and my husband were laughing so much; what a lovely way to start the year, laughing xx
Anyway, I won’t be texting in again Daleo Frankfurter. GALILEO eh, wait till I tell Ma; bet she’ll have something to say on the matter – in fact I’m sure she’ll have something to say xx

Hello Dale and Ma, Galileo here!!! Happy New Year to you both and all the readers of the blog; hope you all had a lovely Christmas xx
I’m still laughing Dale about you calling me Galileo. I like to think you got all hot and flustered when you realised it was me texting !!!
Ma, did you see Daleo and Sally doing their impression of the Zumba at the end of their show? It was hilarious. I bet you were soooooooooooooooooooo in trouble with your kids Daleo when you got home, ha ha. It was so funny, hope you put it on YouTube.
I had all beauty products for Christmas Ma; hope they weren’t trying to tell me something.
Ma, I’m sure we must be barred from phoning in. I wouldn’t dare phone in, nor texting in again come to think of it, God knows what Daleo might call me next time – the mind boggles xx
I’m okay Ma; on top of the world Ma (oh no, I can feel them film themes coming on). I looked in my fridge Christmas Eve and thought, ‘As God is my witness, I’ll never go hungry again’, oh no, there I go again. With all this terrible weather outside, there’s no place like home – that’s it, I’m orf ……………

“Galileo, Galileo”, lol ……..reminds me of that Queen song, how’s it go again?? …….. “Anyway the WIND blows………….”!! Bet I know what Daleo was doing when he read that one out!!!
I shouldn’t worry about it anyway sweetie. Just say to yourself, “Franklin my dear, I don’t give a da*n”!!!
Anyhow, at least they showed your text. I was hopping mad on New Years Eve when I sent Dale a really long text and they didn’t show it. Then I found it on New Years Day ………… still in my Drafts! I tell ya, me and small fiddly things just don’t get along!!
I did see Daleo Zumba’ing ……….. just hilarious. You’ve gotta love him…… right!
Anyhow, must dash …… I’m off to play with Dale and Franklin AGAIN!!!!!

Gail, I forgot to mention, whilst you were looking in your fridge on Christmas Eve, I was looking in my wardrobe thinking, ‘I haven’t got a thing to wear’. So I went to my Mum’ s and said, “Tear down those curtains Mammy, and make me a dress”!!!!!

Well Happy New Year to all! Gail and Ma I’m pleased you enjoyed the Zumba moment – I was put up to it by loads of encouraging texts and the whole of the crew including my producer! It was a one- off New Years moment I can assure you – Jan I’m glad you got the card and photo – oh and thank you too Ma for your saucy Birthday card! Dale x
