Happy (and Cozee) New Year!

5

Well, I know it’s a little late to wish you Happy New Year but, as this is my first blog of 2019, I hope you’ll forgive the tardiness. It’s been such a busy few weeks this end. I’m sure you know the feeling.

Christmas actually feels quite far away already but it was wonderful to have both children home. We had a mini Christmas over at my mum’s a few days ahead of Christmas Day as mum fancied a quieter little Christmas this year. She’s doing great but has been slightly tired lately and just fancied snoozing in the comfort of her own home whilst watching Chrimbo telly. We had a really great pre-Christmas dinner with her. Lots of love and laughs as ever.

Christmas Day was just perfect. The three musketeers of Chez Huntley shared a completely vegan Christmas dinner and it was delicious. See my previous blog for more info on what (the heck) we ate!

We played several board games and there was plenty of live music for me to enjoy as both of my children are singer songwriters. There’s something so wonderful about a guitar and some happy impromptu singing. I’m a very lucky momma.

I get to hear my children’s songs live and in person as they are in their very early stages and then I hear them on stage and radio as they perform professionally. In fact, as I write this I’m listening to Chrissie featuring on BBC Bristol as she and her band are Band of the Week. The word ‘proud’ just doesn’t cut it.

My darling best gal pal, Mandy, got married on the 28th! I was one of her maids of honour… and it was a huge honour indeed. A winter wedding has a wonderful and unique magic what with the twinkling Christmas lights still up and that festive cheer in the air. It was a fantastic day! Mandy looked stunning. It was all very exciting to be a part of. We all danced for hours in celebration of their union. It was so much fun. They had the best day ever and are now enjoying a Jamaican honeymoon. I’m not in the least bit jealous, obviously, ha ha! Actually I’m really not, they deserve every happiness and I’m thrilled for them.

If you’re like me and not planning a trip to Jamaica in the near future you’re going to want to know about our Cozee Home Today’s Special Value that’s coming up next Wednesday, the 16th.

If you’ve never tried Cozee Home and don’t know what I’m talking about it’s a gorgeous range of warming fleece bedding and stylish loungewear, perfect for when you’re feeling chilly. From cuddling on the sofa to weekend lie-ins they are soft and snuggly products which soon become a must for your home. Even my cats sleep on a Cozee Home pet bed!

The Today’s Special Value is excellent because you get two great looks for one. It’s a micro fleece duvet set which features a floral design on one side and a stripe on the other. If you hate that winter ‘sheet shock’ then this is perfect. It’s so cozy and welcoming at the end of a long day and the price is fantastic. All will be revealed next week regarding the price but here it is in my bedroom. I was amazed at the lift it gave my room. It’s just gives a cheery, fresh look, especially now all the Christmas decorations are away. I hope you give it a try and enjoy that cozy feel. One word of warning though, you won’t want to get out of bed in the morning!

Ooh speaking of special offers whilst I’m here I may as well mention our fantastic Beauty Pick of the Month from Gatineau. It’s not just a great price with no P&P during January but it’s a prime example of what people power can do! It’s the original Floracil Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover. There was an uproar when it was discontinued in favour of a new formulation but it’s back because that’s what the Gatineau customers demanded. Truly! You asked and they delivered! Make sure you check it out before it goes.

I hope you all had a great time over the festive season and wish you the very best for 2019. Thank you, as ever, for your continued support.

Lots of love,
Catherine xx
