Half term pampering and adventures …

So half term has come and gone and thanks to this gorgeous weather we had a wonderful time!

Pip Gordon's tent

As soon as we broke up, up went the tent in the garden! This in itself I find really relaxing but then my daughter secretly turned it into our own little mini spa and we spent four hours on Saturday evening listening to music, painting nails and doing various treatments on each other. We generally managed to keep the boys out but to be honest, the sight of us in our peel off masks I think kept them at bay the best. They were definitely the highlight of hilarity, as you can see.

Face masks

There’s little that beats a peel off mask and if you’ve not yet tried it, why not try the Flora Mare one  which with all the deep ocean ingredients feels seriously indulgent and holiday-like! I absolutely love the feeling as you peel it off your skin, one of lifes little pleasures.

Pleasures however continued throughout the week. We don’t live far from Blenheim Palace and they hold some wonderful events and during half term, they had the food festival which was equally fabulous despite the heat and humidity that day (… a good excuse for more prosecco!) We bought various yummy things, some of which we ate there and some we have saved. Last night we had the honey and black pepper goats cheese… to die for!!!!

Pipa Gordon archery

To finish the week off, we went to a local archery club open day as it is something my daughter has wanted to try out for ages. She blew everyone away, apparently she is a “bare bower” which from what I understood essentially means she’s a natural! So she has signed up to start the beginners course in July which is rather exciting. BTW those neon Skechers she is wearing were mine… she’s hijacked them!! Ah the joys of being the same size, I have now bought a second pair and they are MINE!! : )

Back to archery though and I however, was rubbish. I couldn’t even hit the board, let alone the target!!

Oh and before I go… quick kitten update (seeing as he has just curled up in my lap!) Moonface, AKA Static Cat, Fluffball, Superclaw and Thugface is doing just fine! I’ll upload more pics with my next blog.

Take care and much love

Pipa x

PS I ate a mealworm last night!! : )

Ha yes a mealworm! I was picking up the children from youth club and a group of young adults had just returned from volunteering on a farm in Zimbabwe and had brought some food for them to try ….I couldn’t not! xx

Hi Pipa you look good in the mask. My husband is good at archery I tried to do it, it’s so hard to do. It looks as if the kitten is taking over the house terrorising the dog. I wrote last blog.
    Take care X

Hi again Christine, yes archery is way harder than it looks isn’t it? You think you’re on target for a bulls eye and it flies 16 feet above the entire thing! xx

Fab pics. Look as though you had great time. In the first pic – where are those super studs from – been looking for some of those for ages. Very discreet,

Hi Gill, they were from a well known high street shop that sells accessories …… is that clue enough?? Not sure I should actually put the name here however, change the last s for a z, then swap around with the e and you’re there!! xx
