Oh what a fabulous time I had this week going to a ghost tour on a bus around London with the lovely Antthony and the fabulous Bruce, two of my absolute favourite guests. Plus my pal Sharon, accompanied the fabulous fashionista, and talented physiotherapist and me on this comedy theatre bus tour around the scary sights of London.
It was an hour and half long trip round some of the scenes of gruesome or ghostly goings on, including the site of the only monarch execution, where a black bust (ie a head!) marks the spot opposite Downing Street.
We had lots of laughs – some admittedly unintentional! I’m glad we went, it was fun to have a drink beforehand in Boyds Bar, and to spend time with the gang. But riveting it wasn’t as Antthony proved … (Go here to see a pic of what happened to him!)
Loved being on air with Antthony (see his designs here, incl many bargains under £15, most that didn’t make it to air) and with the wonderful Bruce and his clever Bodyblade. I also had a super supper with Bruce after our Thursday show too.
Exciting guest at my Charity Event! Update on the June 12th event! I’ve been very busy planning our fundraiser in Dorking in two weeks’ time. Just look at this new poster, isn’t it brilliant! Well done designer Garry, part of my Project MDD Vintage Teas and Fete team.

Dandelion Record Had a fab dandelion experience this week! It was so satisfying pulling up this long root! And look how tall the Dandelion had grown at the top end. This is one of the longest dandelion stems I’ve ever seen. Can you beat it?
First Bouquet The garden is in full swing and I’m delighted to see the return of blossoms I can have at home. Look at those lovely colours! I’m looking forward to seeing what will emerge in the summer.
Update on Weird plant It’s now looking less like spring onions. There are some little buds emerging from the stem on each of them, so it is clearly not your classic spring onion even tho’ my big bruv still insisted on eating some this week! According to consensus it is from the allium family, just like spring onions are, that’s why it smells and actually tastes a bit like spring onions. I am told it is the allium plant and may have purple flowers. We will see. Thank you everyone who replied with your suggestions!

Smoothie Satisfaction I have been loving making smoothies, inspired by Caroline Sandry, who has just had a new yoga DVD out. If you don’t know she is our regular guest for Nutri Ninja, that brilliant blender, and at her instigation, having tasted one of her own recipes, I bought some protein powder. I use a tiny bit in the morning smoothie I sometimes make, which includes: one banana, one orange and some coconut oil and coconut water. I have written a little blog about coconut oil and all its uses on my Back to You blog on my website, go here for more.
Origin of our species isn’t this fascinating? No? Oh I forgot – I’m a geek! Hehe! Always loved anthropology and archaeology… I’ve got an ‘ology’ miss! Lol. Actually my ‘ologies’ are biology and geology and archaeology (A level). But I’d love to do palaeontology one day, when I’m a grown up! lol. Click here to read a fascinating Natural History Museum article – fascinating, if you’re like me!

Family Time –Earlier this week I met up with my handsome son Brad at the tearooms on the way back from Bristol. I’m very proud of him. Whilst at the tea rooms, I bought a cake and candle to take to little Lara birthday get together that evening. I only left it on the windowsill : – ( Hope you enjoyed it if you found it ha ha.
Lauren – well, Lauren’s pogs rather than Lauren! Went to house for an appointment she’d made and had a lovely pogger with the pogs! Puppy Luna is settling in nicely and lovely Baloo was also pleased to see me. We had a nice play and a cuddle. Love them. It was super sunny in the pretty little patio and (after I’d tidied the house a bit – MESSY daughter!) The appointment came and went and I tore myself away, overcoming the urge to pop them in my bag and take them home!
Lara – popped over to brother Glenn’s for little Lara’s birthday – she is now ten and getting very grown up! I bought her some trinkets and a journal etc, and in return she read to me – talk about a drama queen. Wonder WHERE she gets it from! Hehe!

Katy’s here during Kathy’s sabbatical – she’s taking Kathy’s spot in the dressing rooms too, sharing with Ali Keenan – clearly they thought it’d work to get someone with a similar name for the dressing room sign… not really!

Louise O – ‘NSV. jeans ten weeks ago before I started freedom eating fitted but we’re snug today are big to the point I can pull then down without undoing them now. Very big and baggy.’
Louise R – ‘It’s working!!!! FE, LS and BB. Did my work pants up this morning without having to breathe in!! Big NSV smile on my face x’
Jan R says – ‘Sort of NSV, I’ve always been a 14 on top because of my large (bust). They’ve shrunk a lot more than they’ve ever done before when I’ve lost weight but according to the place online I bought a dress from I would still need their 14 according to the measurements. Not so, and now my lovely red dress has to go back because it’s too big and the next size down is not in stock. So what’s the NSV? I’m tiny and top heavy, who thought I’d look at myself in vintage 50’s style and think wow, I look flippin good!’
