So much has happened since my last blog. Let’s start with a little surprise that myself and Alex have for you… we got to spend a day together creating something we think you will like. It’s a rare occasion to get together as we do alternate days at QVC. It was so much fun and a real treat to spend time being silly and having fun together. I hope we have more opportunities to work together in the future. Keep watching to see what we did… I can say this however, there was glitter, comedy and pugils.
I have also been to Scotland to visit my oldest brother Brodie and his girlfriend Nicky – they have been together for 26 years – and of course my niece and nephew.
It was just what the doctor ordered – fresh air, beautiful views and lots of cuddles with kids, Ruby and Angus. I love being Aunty Eilidh!
I don’t get to go back that often as it’s so far north. When I do I am always so taken aback by how stunning it is. There are long stretches of vast rugged landscape with dramatic dawns and dusks. Have a look at this.
This was taken about 40 mins north of Inverness. It is so calm and I love how striking the colours are. Life up there is so different to London and it takes a few days to adjust. I grew up in a very small village called Invermoriston on the shore of Loch Ness. A fact not many know is that my primary school only had 11 pupils in it! So we definitely all knew each other! Nowadays I love living in the big city, so I think I’m a mix of a country and city girl. One of the things I miss most however is having animals. Growing up we had goats, sheep, a pony, cats, guinea pigs, hens and I think there were even stick insects!
Unfortunately I don’t have any animals in London but I do love to have as many plants in the house as possible. Recently I tried to revive my favourite old lavender plant as it was looking at little lacklustre. I put new compost in and moved it to a cooler part of the house but I’m not convinced it’s happy. If anyone has any tips then please let me know. This was me re-potting it in the morning before work this week.
Now that the days are longer I find it gives me a spring in my step and a glimmer of hope that summer is not too far away. It also makes me want to get fit… if you are like me and have the idea in mind but haven’t quite taken the next step, then you might like this Twist & Shape full body workout machine.
It’s great way to start. I always find starting little and often keeps exercise more enjoyable.
Along with summer and keeping fit is that us ladies start to get our skirts and dresses out, and even our legs. I don’t know about you but keeping our legs smooth and hair-free and looking short or skirt-ready can take up a lot of time! So wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could reduce our hair growth? Well recently I was introduced to the Sensica Sensilight which helps reduce hair growth. Take a look at what Ruth has to say about this wonderful hair removing gadget
Going to a salon to have our legs waxed can really add up and shaving all the time leaves my skin sore so this may well be a new solution to have smoother, silkier legs.
Talking legs and feet, have you checked out the shoes we have at the moment? Oh my word! I think we have some of the best collection I’ve seen. I am a real shoe, heel, boot, sandal you name it lover. So in my next blog I’m going show a collection of some of my favourite shoes from QVC.
Until then, check out this little gem from Vionic. It’s our final Big Deal of the week, and wearing Vionic is an absolute treat for your feet!
Hope you have a good week and of course a huge happy birthday to our lovely lady, Alex xxx
