No, I’m not giving myself a pat on the back, I am congratulating the winner of my Liz Earle Superskin Collection competition who just happens to have the same initials as me. More than a thousand of you correctly answered that the Liz Earle company is based on the Isle of Wight, and Janice Reeves was randomly selected as our winner. Congratulations Janice, I hope you enjoy using the products.
Well I’m delighted to say that my sofas have arrived. I must admit I was a bit nervous whether or not we would get them in time for Christmas, despite assurances from the salesman at DFS, but true to his word they were delivered into store on Tuesday and delivered to us yesterday morning. I’m really pleased with the colour and comfort, and the two sofas fit perfectly in our little cottage. It means we have been able to put the conservatory furniture back in the conservatory for the first time since we painted it, and I can once again enjoy sitting in there for my early morning hot lemon drink.
We also took delivery of a runner carpet for our hallway this week. I love the muted colours but Milo, Sophie’s cat, just loves the carpet full-stop. Since we rolled it out he has frequently disappeared into the hallway just to stretch out on it … he really is so cute.
Now that the sofas have arrived we will be able to think about putting the Christmas decorations up. Dan is coming over tomorrow after training his CPFC U11s, so we will all be able to decorate the tree together. The only thing Christmassy about the house so far is the Bethlehem Lights hanging basket on the porch, and a scattering of Christmas cards, so it will be nice to get everywhere more festive.
Speaking of Christmas cards, thanks to all of you who have sent them in – it really does help to brighten up the dressing room. If you gave me your address a card should be on its way to you.
Must dash as it’s the Presenter Christmas lunch (part 2) today, and then I am on air at 5pm with Yong Kim and 6pm with Nails Inc (although possibly not with today’s Nails Inc TSV as it has been selling really well).
On the subject of TSVs, I am deliberating whether to ask Chris to get me the Links of London necklace as an extra pressie. It’s under £50, and although it is really tomorrow’s TSV, you can get it on our website now – ssshhhh I didn’t tell you!
I will try and do a quick blog next week with pictures of the Christmas tree etc, but in case I run out of time I’d just like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
