Get the partywear started

The date circled on the calendar is growing ever closer, the Christmas party will be here before you know it!

We have a wonderful selection of partywear to tempt you with this season. Whether your taste runs to all-out sequin glamour or you prefer the simpler things in life, we hope you’ll find something you’ll be excited to wear to your festive celebration.

We’ve pulled together looks centered around key trends for the season. Read on for sartorial inspiration…

A pop of embellishment

This C. Wonder dress is a wonderfully rich colour and falls to a flattering length. The embellishment detail around the neckline is a gorgeous feature and saves you having to worry about adding a necklace or earrings! We’ve gone for simple rose gold jewellery with this Bronzo Italia bracelet and a splash of bling with the Aurora Swarovski ring. Finished off with this pale blue and black Lulu Guinness clutch and co-ordinating Clarks shoes with a reasonably high but sensible heel, it’s an outfit fit for a truly glam night.

Maximum glam

This look combines two trends in one; the maxi shape and a bright array of shades. Many of us are guilty of wearing head-to-toe black, so why not break out of this trap with the gorgeous Join Clothes wrap-over dress. The Clarks Sienna court shoes give you that needed height, but thanks to the platform sole you can still be on the dance floor all night. The Frank Usher clutch bag is a versatile piece that you can definitely use again for any occasion. And of course it wouldn’t be a party outfit without some sparkle, in this case from the Diamonique simulated opal and pink diamond ring.

Retro throwback

The 1950s fitted skirt meets the 1960s tunic top in this retro-tastic outfit. We recommend tucking the Nina Leonard top into the sleek Michele Hope skirt to create a flattering solhouette. The fluted hemline is just asking for a twirl under the disco ball. Make sure your pedicure is on point with these peep toe Unisa shoes. The chic Frank Usher clutch bag will hold the essentials, and these show-stopper earrings from Diamonique will complete the look, especially if you choose to wear your hair up.

Strokable texture

This Nina Leonard dress has so many party-worthy details going for it, with the gorgeous colour, faux-suede texture and scalloped hemline. We thought that building on this texture with the black patent Clarks Aquifer shoe adds a lovely touch, and allows you to go with all out sparkles for the rest of the accessories. The glitzy Frank Usher bag perfectly picks up the shimmer of the dress, as well as the luminescense from the pearl and crystal accessories – the Frank Usher necklace and Diamonique earrings.

Biker chic

If you prefer to wear trousers, then this is the outfit for you. These faux-leather Kim & Co trousers feature an elasticated waistband so there’s no worries if you want to dig into the mince pies. They look stunning paired with this red lace top from Grace, after all if you can’t wear leather and lace at the Christmas party then when can you? Lengthen your legs with these Peter Kaiser chunky heels. The rest of the accessories are best kept neutral, with this Frank Usher bag and beautiful 9 carat gold dangly earrings.
