How’s January going for you? Because I worked right through New Year, hubby and I decided to have a belated celebration with a date day in London last weekend. We started with a visit to the Hayward Gallery on the South Bank to see an exhibition called Space Shifters, which was really interesting – a combination of sculptures and installations from twenty different artists spanning a period of about fifty years.
There was one which was a bit like a confusing maze of mirrors that you walked through. I said to hubby, “I wonder how often people walk straight into one of these walls?” Three seconds later – CLONK! – I hear a thud behind me and he’s walked into the wall!! At least it wasn’t me this time… I laughed rather too much! Later we had a fabulous dinner in Covent Garden and toasted the New Year. Here’s to a good one!
At work I was delighted to present the first ‘Michael Perry’s Garden World Show’, as he took over from Richard Jackson as our resident gardening expert. Of course, Richard will still be with us… we couldn’t let him go! He’s stepped down as main presenter though to concentrate on developing more of his own gardening products and also on bringing a range of plants to QVC, which is very exciting. It’s great to have both Richard and Michael on board – do look out for their shows if you love gardening.
Finally a quick look at two Today’s Special Value offers coming up this week. First, on Tuesday the fabulous skincare expert Judith Williams brings us her five-piece Restore & Revitalise Rose Collection. It includes a brand new Life Long Beauty Peel Off Mask, her bestselling Rose Oil, the Perfecting Concentrate, an eye cream and the Ultra Lift Face Cream. The collection is aimed at mature skin and targets fine lines and other visible signs of ageing – I suspect it’s going to be very popular!
Then on Wednesday we get the latest special offer from Cozee Home, our divine range of fabulously soft, fluffy, fleecy bedding and other bits for the home. This one has a spring feel – the Camille Floral four-piece fleece duvet set. The microfleece fabric gives all the warmth and snuggle factor we expect from Cozee Home, but the bold floral print heralds milder days to come.
It comes in lilac, pink and yellow options and you’ll get a duvet cover, fitted sheet and two pillowcases. There will also be additional matching pieces available, including a throw and a bedspread, if you want to complete the look.
Have a lovely week!
