We have it all going on at the Q right now! I can barely keep up with all the great offers we have but I thought I’d highlight this pair of beauties for you as I adore them both.
Firstly, Decleor… they produce lots of gorgeous beauty products but my personal favourite is the Gradual Glow Body Lotion. It’s a regular beauty buy for me. I hold my hands up… I’m not brilliant at remembering to moisturise my body. I have colleagues who diligently quench daily but I’m afraid I’m in the other camp. The camp of the lazy beauty addicts. I’m also pretty pale without the assistance of make-up and self tan so this product is a godsend for me.
You may be aware that we offer a Beauty Pick of the Month each month but perhaps you didn’t know we also offer a supersized beauty product each month, too. Launching for the whole month from 1st March, we have Decleor’s Gradual Glow Body Lotion. I love self tan products but they can sometimes be quite drying on the skin. For you saintly body moisturisers out there this may not be an issue but for me and my lazy gal pals it is. This is why I love this lotion as it not only gives me the colour I want but it also cares for my skin at the same time. This makes it even better value, too, as it’s a two in one product.
I also like that it doesn’t have a guide colour i.e. it isn’t brown when you put it on. That means you can put it on and then put your clothes on or go to bed without worrying that it’s going to transfer onto your clothes and sheets. It also means I can put it on and go to work without looking as though I’ve been dipped in Marmite! As it’s gradual it’s controllable, too. Less chance of ending up with orange hands! Having said that I would always advise to wash your hands after application, just in case.
Once you’ve got yourself looking good you might want to treat your home to some spring sprucing. One of our most esteemed authorities in interiors, Alison Cork, is bringing us a glorious, Art Deco-inspired bedspread at a Today’s Special Value price on the 6th of March. I am privileged enough to have been allowed to bring one home and try it out ahead of the launch. Wow! It’s gorgeous!
I chose Blush but it will also be available in Grey, Ochre, Stone and Teal. I was very tempted to give the Ochre a try but I adore pink and grey together. I have a lot of grey in my bedroom. Even my headboard is grey. Between you and me, I actually bought it in an internal sale at QVC where our sets department were selling bits and bobs that had previously been part of the sets on air so you may have seen it before, ha ha!
There will be pillow shams available to match our special offer. You can see them here teamed up with the glamorous bedspread. The grey throw on my bed is another of Alison’s designs which I purchased some time ago. I love it so much I bought one for friends of mine, too. They love it but their dogs love it even more.
This leads me on, nicely, to the matter of my cats. Pixie and Popsiecat own the place. They think they do, anyway. Even more so when it comes to beds!
Popsiecat has a distinct morning routine. She meows until given breakfast, wolfs it down and then sleeps on my son’s bed for about two hours. Pixiecat prefers my bed but is less rigid in her routine. Both of the cats of Chez Huntley thoroughly enjoy new bedding so they came to inspect the latest arrival when I unpacked the latest Alison Cork delights. Cheeky little ladies, I couldn’t love them more if I tried!
I do hope you’re having a great February. Just to remind you, there’s still time to earn yourself a voucher with our latest promotion so click here for more details and reap the rewards!
Keep well, keep warm and I’ll see you soon.
Love Catherine x
